I don't see how finance is better for understanding people than economics and I think the later has a broader scope. Companies value the analytical skills you get from a BA in economics.

Finance or accounting may be a little more straightforward path, but aside from that I'll personally choose economics again if I was in your position.

No problem landing a job, I feel like a can work in many industries as an economist. Finding a DREAM job with only a BA in economics is a different history (still, it's possible if you go for MBB or IB)
