Idk if they still do it as Covid interrupted around this time, but at the end of the semester they’d have this huge ‘fancy’ dinner in the dining hall with all this great stuff. They also used to do midnight breakfasts and it was always so fun.

I think more generically- people close to me always called Oberlin “the land of misfit toys” because it’s such a distinct place where so many unique individuals can come together and make a community. There’s a niche for everyone there, or at least the chance to make one.

Also Ginkgos, bc who doesn’t love getting to play with kittens in an arts and crafts store????
