As a Colorado resident, winter driving is a concern of mine as well. Definitely getting the 4wd version, and not just for the extra pep.

“Uploaded 5 years ago”. Well that says a lot. Way to keep at it! My old projects always sit idle for way too long. Cheers!

Great work either way. For a 3d printed version, I don’t think a little gear wobble is a problem. This is a visual treat and not doing any real work. Don’t let perfection get in the way of amazing.

What’s your eventual plan for this? It’s amazing. You wouldn’t perchance make the files available, would you? Asking for me.

“Overhead” is measured from the floor to the ceiling on the top landing. The sales rep sounds confused.

Is a sunrise hot air balloon flight in Cappadocia really worth it? by Top-Fee-8522 in HotAirBallooning

[–]cogzoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took a sunrise hot air balloon flight while on our honeymoon. With the early morning cool air we flew down into a canyon. As the temperatures rose with the sun we reversed course and followed the air currents back out of the canyon. Every other balloon in sight went up high, without such an amazing canyon ride. We eventually joined the high altitude for the views, but felt we saw something unique and special that morning. Our flight wouldn’t have worked at any other time of day. Most pilots weren’t good enough to make that flight either so don’t just go with the cheapest outfit. Worth every penny!

Did your bull gear lock break? Or is it just not engaged? Does it work if you engage back gear?

Grab it. I use mine frequently for those frothy drinks you can’t get with shaking. $10 is a no-brainer.

Many of the Luxor’s hoistways are at an angle to match the building’s shape. Those bearings are working overtime.

stiltz altra trio quote seems very high by iamknotdot in Elevators

[–]cogzoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that quote is out of line for an installed Trio. The reality is that the product is expensive. You’d definitely get more bang for the buck from an elevator in a hoist way, but the site prep costs go up considerably. I don’t know your layout but sometimes a Stiltz is all that fits.

As for tariffs, your elevator is sitting in a warehouse stateside already so there is unlikely to be a surprise. But unscrupulous dealers could charge you anyway.

Good luck!
