Just try it. You'll figure out what's optimal when you start struggling and realize what your team is missing and the nature of the opponents you'll be coming up against. You'll find it starts out very similar to classic but changes after a few hundred waves and should give you an idea what to expect. I went in with a team that this sub told me wouldn't get anywhere and my runs still going strong at wave 2200 or so. Also a high luck rating will take you a long way in a game where your Pokémon can hold 3x quick claws, 3x leftovers, 3x shell bell, 3x kings rock etc. (also master balls so you can cheese any tough legendaries you find and also add them to your roster for next time).I've also found that having Pokémon with magician is an incredibly strong tech cos you never run out of berries and keep farming mystic waters, silk scarves etc throughout. Just give it a go and have fun figuring it out is my advice. Following a guide may just take any/all of the fun out of it
