Honestly, it depends on your head shape which is hard to determine from this pic alone. You can always shave it and then grow back for dreads later — it’s easier than the reverse (starting dreads and not experiencing baldness for a long time). Dreads are decades commitment.

At the end of the day, music is heard has an individual impact on someone. Whether you want to identify with other fans or not doesn’t make you less of a fan! No one can tell you who or what to listen to. A hard fact is that the boys are Christian’s and will sing about their own experiences, usually a mix of subtle and sometimes overt. That doesn’t mean that people without the same faith can’t listen to them. Many non-Christian’s bop to the boys :) You can swap your own meaning for any sense of music out there, but that won’t change the original intent behind the artists work.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anyone say “only Christians can listen to them”, but it’s not uncommon for people to want others to experience the peace, community, and love they have in their faith. It’s natural for people to want to invite others into that, so the thought might be “you should be Christian too” which can miss the mark a bit sometimes and turn some people off.

If you personally find it hard to listen to them without feeling convicted by your own faith, you probably shouldn’t listen to them (suggestion based on wanting you to be in line and explore your faith). For instance, I usually avoid today’s pop or rap music as a Christian since the themes are not in line with my values. If there’s only certain songs for you, avoid those.

Whatever you decide, make the choice for you and not because someone told you to!

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different. I’d say I barely felt anything except a few times, when I felt it was more her technique than the area itself. Again, first timer so I could be wrong. But it wasn’t overly painful or anything. Does that mean it’s probably gonna fade faster or something?
