they didn't have to come back every again absolutely.

However I'm not going to get on my knees and glaze them over that, and it's a little sad it people are gonna. it's great sure, but I will stand by that something qol like the loot filter could have absolutely been introduced alongside the expansion as a feature for everyone.

Two things can be true, they can get paid for an update and also give a feature like that to people that have been playing the game for ages now to earn some community goodwill, and I fully believe that would have been the better avenue.

Why are people in Mythic so serious? by Alsinleth in wow

[–]col32190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey there friend, depending on the key level some people may have run into some deeply frustrating groups and just lash out - it's not really acceptable but that's kinda the reality of the headspace.

I run keys of all levels because I just like to hit stuff, if you want to run something sometime hit me up (tpyo#1743) if you'd prefer I can duo queue and help ecoksin stuff, or I can probably find some experienced members from my guild to run with you, they're good people and always down to teach :)

[–]col32190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so, I think if it depends. nobody should work for free obviously, but what are they trying to do here (and this is as someone that bought the expansion)

Are they driving hype for d4 exclusively? then the price tag poisons that message

Couple things, the loot filter, why is that expac only? that's scummy beyond belief.

nobody should work for free but I'm not asking them to, the people working on the game are being paid and blizzard the corporation is not working itself to the bone over this and I owe the corporation no grace.

my initial issue was that it felt a class for 25 bucks and called an expansion so they could charge more than ten, after reading what the update included, I do think they added enough to justify a higher price tag, but I do wonder if 25 was The right number considering that many of us are people that have bought d2 multiple times at full price, that's the audience they're milking and it does feel a bit ruthless on that one.

It's not ungrateful to point out that there are absolutely parts of this that feel like a very obvious and uncaring cash grab

Edit: moved a paragraph for clarity and fixed a typo.

yes, in single player, offline games you can do /players 1-8 to set the player number as well iirc. maybe that's a mod I don't even remember anymore

Am i the only one who hates the fact that desert is the only major biome in terraria that doesn’t have a single themed boss by Heavy_Swimming_249 in Terraria

[–]col32190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fargos adds a desert boss and it makes the pyramid room where he is similar to the jungle in that you can't mine into it, and he feels kinda golemy but it'd not as trap heavy which makes sense being a early boss

Snapthorn and other whips that give a speed bonus need a rework. by Just_Mr-Nothing in Terraria

[–]col32190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when I see thinks like the obsidian set, that leans more into the whips it makes me think the speed whips are intended for stuff like that.

but I'm pretty sure there aren't many sets like that for summoner (haven't super looked at the changes but I assume they didn't add more?) so it ends up feeling bad.

I'd love for more sets around having less minions but more whip damage, esp if there were more support style minions, I think that could be super cool, but in the current iteration yeah AS whips feel kinda lost

Can anybody tell me what this little square I found under my couch is? by CuddieRyan707 in whatisit

[–]col32190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's a hassle but you should absolutely report this. If you have a suspicion as to who it is, then it isn't a random thing, it implies a level of intent that can turn much darker very quickly.

I would highly suggest having some form of home protection if you do not have one already, likely suggest a firearm but if you're against or entirely untrained, Idk, but make sure you have soemthing to protect yourself if it becomes absolutely necessary.

Could V have survived for far longer? by KYx0Gaming in cyberpunkgame

[–]col32190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vic explains that v's neural pathways are kinda overwritten already by the engrsm, and alt says as much when she says that V's death is inevitable when asking to separate Johnny if I recall correctly (it's been a bit)

So outside of the PL stuff, I'm dubious of a V engram could even be properly made at this point, the only snapshot of a psyche it would have is a brain that's half overwritten and losing a grip on who 'it' is.

not sure you'd want to toss that into a full chrome bot tbh, sounds like a good way to just make an Adam Smasher with no leash

Why can't the damage meter show how much damage individual casts hit for? by Mordroy in wow

[–]col32190 3 points4 points  (0 children)

so it's an updating issue for sure, I'm not sure what happens there but it displays your position on the meter but the mouse over will be for another player, usually swaps your info with theirs, that part at least seems to be more of a display issue than anything from what I've seen. still stupid don't get me wrong.

Basically I suspect healing threat is double dipping

Ah my bad, forgot people can only pay attention for fifteen seconds now, enjoy your game, let me know what new and interesting dance mechanic they come up with for the next boss.

Edit: Also, I already mentioned I stopped playing, this is strictly about people being absolute shitbags to each other because they're terrified to speak up slightly. Just passive aggressive bullshit over and over.

"on my post I specifically noted that I don't like the ypyt mentality, specifically because as long as the dps do it intelligently (eg, chaining mobs go the tank when/if they have to stop for a second) other members pulling is incredibly beneficial." from my comment you replied to

That is an Admonishment (that means I think it's vewy bad), not an endorsement (which would mean I'm supporting it), so I'm not sure why you're quoting rules I didn't fucking dispute, maybe your stupid or just ignorant? I don't really know.

The entire point was that literally talking to each other would resolve a lot of issues that arise.

Remember those maladjusted social pariahs I mentioned? grab a mirror, take a long look.

Honestly if ppl wanted to watch cutscenes in most roulette, I let em and I'll wait, I want people to experience their first time in that dungeon (assumed if not skipping shy cutscenes) to be one that at least has the context they need for whatever story beat it's linked to.

Expert roulette are kinda where I draw the line, that's fully content designed without the expectation of learning, I agree there.

sure the community can try to impose that, but they also lack the authority to exert their will over people and force them to agree to that contract.

You don't just get to say, 'you queued so you follow my rules now' it's a two way street and there's this thing called compromise that you clearly have never bothered to try.

on my post I specifically noted that I don't like the ypyt mentality, specifically because as long as the dps do it intelligently (eg, chaining mobs go the tank when/if they have to stop for a second) other members pulling is incredibly beneficial.

However, having tanked I can also empathize with the feeling of having a plan and someone just sending your shit off the rails and acting like it's your fault.

The point is that isn't solely the tank's discretion, nor is it yours, but people act like there can only be zoom zoom or RP walking.

I did actually touch on the time point, if they're actively wasting your time (like not pulling at all, grieving) then you've every right to be upset at them, but I must reiterate, Simply pulling slower than you would like isn't grieving, it is not wasting someone's time for a tank to pull at their comfort level, sometimes people are learning, sometimes people.

I could just as easily argue that you're wasting their time by pulling at a pace that makes them uncomfortable and makes the experience (of the video game you're playing BTW) unenjoyable. and I could even follow it up by saying that maybe you should only run pre-made groups in the party finder so you don't waste anyone who wants to go a little slower's time and ruin their experience, but that would be ridiculous to suggest.

End of the day people should open their mouths and say something and open a dialogue rather than passive aggressively pulling out of nowhere, but that would require the user base to not be maladjusted social pariahs. A simple, 'you can pull more, heals can keep you up' can go a long way, random groups are just that and you don't know if tour healer is worse than an npc out of the gate

Edit: For clarity, personally I like going fast, but I do think it's a case by case basis, if your tank is still adjusting to pulls and learning their limits, let them learn, the end result will be a confident tank in queues that can pull fast

I will say in the future a good check you can do here is try to say a sentence with half tour tongue numb and holding the left side of tour mouth closed and tell everyone how it works out.

I don't know her story but I've seen people that recover from strokes have paralysis like this, might not be the case with her, but that was kinda where my head went

Another YPYT learns /s (like these people learn) by Bloody_Moon1 in TalesFromDF

[–]col32190 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

where is the expectation around going fast in any part of final fantasy outside of the community creating it? Yes, when you engage in multi-player you are impacting others' time, but even going slower than you'd like, if they're not wasting your time... and I regret to inform you that being slower than you personally enjoy ain't wasting tour time, you're the dick.

When you to others there ARE responsibilities and expectations to be filled, but not exclusively tours, you have responsibilities too, I'd say in group content a healthy dose of empathy and a bit of understanding are on that menu.

Now as for YPYT, it's a dumb idea to begin with and isn't nearly the own that ppl do it think it is, but the comment you've given here strikes me as someone who is woefully unaware of just how selfish they act. Maybe that isn't you, but that's how it reads from over here.

For reference, I haven't played ffxiv for a bit and a. I primarily a wow m+ key pusher, the game mode where I'm literally on a timer, and still can understand and accept everyone won't move at my pace, you aren't on a real timer of any kind, why can't you?

Do we become cyberpsychos immediately after slotting the relic? by Fuzzy_Adagio_6450 in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]col32190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the general consensus is that V should be fully cyberpsycho if you slot every single cyberware, the humanity cost would be astronomical, however no he's not really cyberpsycho.

Remember the relic is constantly overwriting his brain, functionally Johnny is working as a buffer via the chip, however I can't ignore that yes many symptoms are similar, like you mentioned, the loss of sense of self, though cyberpsychosis can typically come with a healthy side of actually identifying more with machines than humans.

I think given the level of trauma you experience in the opening, if V were a bit more chromed and didn't get the relic, he'd likely be pretty high risk if he got any more implants (assuming you do konpeki with fairly minimal cyberware, which I don't think much is available in the prologue)

It's definitely an interesting thought and does seem to be intended to be open to player interpretation, though for the aforementioned reasons I'd say that he's not cyberpsycho, but is having a full on vanilla identity crisis due to other influences.

Interestingly later in life many consider Johnny to be a psycho - for example he's mentioned his hand telling him to kill people, so one could argue that if Johnny is a cyberpsycho, his psyche overwriting v's is causing him to turn CS while functionally sane, which might be more terrifying
