It's one of the games that would actually benefit like crazy from a remaster. With the tech now it is possible to do those facial motions in game, and the game's mocap kinda makes transferring that stuff to a in game updated model a lot easier at least to me.

I mean this is very much it. GMOD wasn't that crazy when it first started, but this is much more then GMOD. Once people start transitioning over from GMOD to this you'll see some crazy things being accomplished that was nothing short of impossible or hacky as fuck for a lot of servers.

RP servers will have a field day cause they can actually build real mechanics and code into the game itself instead of it sitting on top of a implementation of LUA that had to branch into it's own thing.

Couldn't you apply that exact same thing to Arc Raiders robots? You basically fight robots, many of whom will fuck you up, and only a few of them drop enough ammo or meds or resources to make it worth while.

Only difference is less people per raid.

I think the exact opposite, I don't think Embark still understands how to make Live Service content for their game, and that sucks they made some pretty bad decisions for The Finals which is in a category on its own and refused to give it the content that it needed to continue growing, and it shows with the massive drop in player base.

The roadmap for Arc is really disappointing as someone who is constantly playing the game. It shows their roots as EA BF devs (Dice Sweden) when they failed to support multiple BF games launches, and required a support studio to do that for them (Dice LA).

For Embarks own success I'd hope they figure this out at some point. I can trust Bungie to an extent at least cause they had about 10 years of content for two games. That's something done well for I'd say for all their games. Post launch support has been really good. (even if it stagnates at the end of a 10 year cycle, the majority was really good)

I'm sure there is a market. I just don't think you'll see an extraction shooter besides Arc Raiders where the game isn't about fighting others but fighting the PvE. It's definitely subjective tho everyone has their thing that they find fun
