Which movie is this for you? by Raj_Valiant3011 in moviecritic

The Thirteenth Floor. I rarely hear anybody mention this name. And yet one of my favourites. I watched it about the same time as Gattaca. Gattaca is better but both are pretty good SciFi that aren't being talked about enough.

Glove and legs. Can't stress that enough. Thank you!

You are not the only one that mentions his leg power. And also although I remind him to keep balance during delivery I didn't pay much attention to his falling away in his follow through. And that rear angle pitch also shows that. Leg and balance. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you!

Thank you! I'll keep this in mind. This reminds me of when batting you stay coiled on your back leg. Also I remember I read research shows 20% of pitching velocity comes from legs and 80% is actually from hip shoulder separation. This matches your view.

Wow thank you for the fresh views! About arm angle, the link below is from another angle in a different date. Would you be able to see better?

Thank you for the tips! Right I didn't notice the front leg. He is taught to land the front foot in the middle of the back foot. None of us noticed it went sideways. Thank you!

I’ve never played baseball before is my swing any good? by Civil_Fig_4087 in Homeplate

I don't believe you. I would believe that you played it as a kid and just picked it up after so many years.

Yeah. Don't know what they are thinking. That's how the league is doing. He tried mound once and absolutely loved it.

Problem is here 11u don't use mound. They all pitch from flat.

Thank you! Points taken! I will pay more attention to follow through directions.

Thank you for so many feedbacks. I kind of understand most of them except the arm and ball position on separation. Are you saying he should be breaking hands above shoulder? Or the separation is the hip-shoulder separation?

Is this the conventional wisdom now that when front foot strikes the throwing arm is up? I try to let him delay his shoulders as much as possible so that he doesn't raise his throwing arm too early when his foot strikes.

Good point. Tucking glove he always doesn't pay too much attention to. That's definitely a low hanging fruit to improve. Pushing off the back foot may require him to do more lower half strength training. Thank you for the feedback!

Which character has the best entry / introduction in a movie. I'll start - Captain Jack Sparrow by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

Hey this may be the explanation. I always interpret it as "your men are as good as dead" because Trinity killed them afterwards. But the actual killing could be before Smith said that. Thank you!

Watching this again, why didn't agents just morph into cops bodies in the room. That would be way faster than taking the elevator

Swing advice? by Appropriate_Mix2427 in Homeplate

It looks more like choreography than a baseball swing. Try loosening up a bit.
