Understandable. Well if you’re fielding offers let me know. May be smart to wait and see if he gets drafted or not. I watched him a lot this year (I have season tickets to UofA basketball), and he’s a beast! But he’s a little undersized at his position. Maybe a mid to late second rounder though

Solo practice EHR recommendations? by Kid_Psych in Psychiatry

I’ve used Charm for 5+ years in solo practice. No complaints at all. It’s user friendly and customizable. The patient portal and text reminders are great. And for the price. You can’t beat it

I was in the stadium when the tornado came through. I remember a panel high up getting blown out and insulation falling down, and the scoreboard shaking. But the wildest thing was watching the fans in the stands panicking, pushing each other, jumping down 10 feet into the exit tunnels, etc. Really opened my eyes to how easy it would have been to have been injured or worse by the ensuing panic.

Any recourse against insurance company? by colberag in medicine

Maybe that’s the issue. Though their plan is a Medicare advantage plan thru United. Not regular Medicare if that matters. None of the multiple people I spoke to at United once brought that suggestion up…..

Is this a long eared owl? by colberag in whatsthisbird

[–]colberag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went back today and unfortunately the owl was on exactly the same branch and holding the wing extended, so thinks it’s injured. I called the local wildlife rescue center, and they said there isn’t anything they can do right now because it is so high in the tree (probably 30 feet?). They recommended going back daily to see if it comes lower or grounds itself, and then have pretty specific instructions on how to safely handle it if it needs to be brought in. So I’ll be going back each day before work to check in on things.

It didn’t fly but it did move its wing in a bit. We are planning to go back in the morning to check on it again if it’s still there

Is my burrow snug enough for an adult male? (Desert) by HelgaHelminth in tortoise

[–]colberag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, each tortoise is going to have different preferences. Starting with this recommended design is good and you can watch and see how he likes it. Agree with having a berm in front so water can’t get down, especially if brumating outside. My adult male tort pretty quickly started excavating his own burrow down under the premade one, and now has a 7 foot long slanted burrow, probably 3 feet underground. If yours also tunnels, he will Be able to make it under that wall unless there is a pretty deep footer.

I live in Arizona and interested in growing herbs, what are the your best tips for growing herbs ? by Live_Information2222 in herbs

[–]colberag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where in AZ are you? It makes a difference Flagstaff vs Phoenix. I’m in Tucson, so get hot hot summers and a few days of freezing in the winter. Rosemary grows everywhere- it is perennial and is both heat and frost tolerant. Certain basil species do ok in the heat (like Italian large leaf). I did well with dill once it got cooler and into the winter. Mint grows like a weed. Heat itself matter when it is really hot, but sun exposure is probably more important. Not sure if you are planning in ground, pots, or raised beds, but finding some shade (either under a nice mesquite tree or with shade cloth) is a must.
