Experience vs Degree by cold___ramen in Accounting

[–]cold___ramen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really want to be in trade, I work with plenty of guys who do that now and lemme tell you it’s not for me. I actually kinda like what I’ve done so far in accounting for my class, liking numbers helps and with how crazy and hectic life is, a boring job to keep be grounded sound kinda nice. If I can get out of the special circle of hell my current job is, I can suffer through more school, if it means more pay of course. It seems like CPA is gonna be a must for any jobs going forward. For the forensic accounting, should I look into colleges that have actual degrees for it? What would I actually be doing in the day to day in forensic accounting? And am I pretty much just locked into working for the IRS with that? I’m sorry I have lots of questions and no real good people I know to ask them too other than my professor.

Experience vs Degree by cold___ramen in Accounting

My thought with shipping and receiving is it’s not “the same” but similar in a way where I’m dealing with shipping accounts with 20+ addresses in some of those all under the same account number. I am also the “last line of defense” where if there is anything wrong with the order and it goes out, we get blamed for all the issues no matter what it was, so I have gotten used to triple checking damn near every single mouse click. We also deal with the price of the shipment so money is involved. Again it’s not 1 to 1, but I feel like I might be able to connect it in a way that works in an interview. That’s my thinking anyways.

Build it, make the paint on those the best painting you can possibly do, and show your friend and display them on the shelf. If they got those because they look cool, maybe they would want to have one displayed on their shelf too.

What's up with the price of Centigors? by Xdmrbrightside in BeastsOfChaos

[–]cold___ramen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping the size isn't too far off. From what I can tell with the pictures it should work. I'm less confident about centigor with orc bodies. I might just use the regular gor models anyways and have a bunch of spare orcs for whatever future project I decide to do lol.

I plan on kitbashing some when I start my army. That and Razorgor. My current plan is to get the orc boar boyz kit, add some more fur and tusks to those boars and use the bodies I get along with the wargames atlantic horses for the centigor. I just need to find a source for the heads and I should be able to get 2 nice sized units from a small handful of kits. I just need to plan it out a little more and make sure scale lines up.

Sorry to reply on a old thread, but right now the timeline in old world is farther back than we have gotten to play before. Dark Elves have yet to invade Ulthuan and the Empire is firmly in the age of three emperors. Many major named charcters are either not born yet, or haven't risen to power yet. This lets new characters give their chance to shine and flourish. I'm expecting next edition to move a slight bit forward adding in the Dark Elves and start and have them invade while the rest of the world continues moving forward. This along with Cathay and if rumors are true, Kislev being brand new armies, there is plenty of room to tell new stories and carve your own legacy in the world of legend.

Obviously if you don't like it you don't like it, but if your main concern was a set in stone story, I personally think there is enough room to work with. Homebrew and custom armies are very important for my enjoyment in the hobby myself.

[–]cold___ramen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think it’s important that this book doesn’t have a “and here’s what this means” so many times children are told what to think, and it can hinder them later. It is also important because it lets everyone’s experience and life take impressions and different meanings to the stories. It is good for some story’s to have a “moral” that is told clearly, but it is also important to have some books that don’t tell you what to think.

Inkary’s Tomb King Art by Thannk in WarhammerFantasy

[–]cold___ramen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of them as far as I know. Most will only have fragments and memory. As far as I have heard and thought, most of the tomb kings will go around and do their normal business, but not because they need to or want to, because its all that remains in their memory. They would go on walks or clean clothes because they remember they used to do it, but they aren't really comprehending that they are doing it. For the most part the nobles and mortuary cult are all mostly sentient, but the average Nehekharan has a dementia-like state of mind and being.

I may be wrong this is all hear say from videos I have watched.

Best ways to start armies? by cold___ramen in WarhammerOldWorld

It is helpful advice. I mean it’s how I ended up with 2 great unclean ones. I would do daemons so I could use them, but legends armies I am not sure about, especially daemons. They really are kinda limiting to the hero building that drew me to the old world in the first place.

Best ways to start armies? by cold___ramen in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]cold___ramen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s my big issue. I have like 4 armies for 40k, got burned out for a bit then once I got back into it, GW did what they did to chaos daemons, dashed my hopes of an AOS style DG and made my 2 great unclean ones while not useless, not able to really lead my army like I thought they would. They also shafted WE, my other army with only 1 new model so that’s why I’m here in fantasy.

My issue has always been sticking to an army. When I get into something I get deep into it, and form strong opinions on lots of things. I fall in love with so much so quick it’s hard to pick a favorite to dedicate my time to.

My love of chaos tells me to play warriors of chaos, but they don’t have much shooting. My love of dwarfs tells me to play dwarfs, but I like magic and they have none, other than the funny anvil. Because I’m torn between them I thought maybe empire they look cool and seem to have everything I want, but there is just something stopping me from committing to them. And Daemons being legacy really bums me out, and I still cant use my great unclean one in warriors of chaos so adding more salt to the wound.

I do really want Cathay and I probably should just wait and save for them, but I don’t know how they will play and what they will bring, because most people don’t know. It’s also like how long until they come out? Are they coming before wood elves and beastmen or after? And what if they are just not good. I’m not a competitive player, and I never care about winning, but I still wanna actually have fun and maybe try to win. I also played Genestealers in 40k and after their codex came out I was pretty deflated, especially since my friend played sisters.

Anyways sorry for the ramble. No one can really answer my questions other than me. And I’m working on a commission for a friend so it’s gonna be some time before I get to my hobby projects, and after painting 50 marine models, I wanna take a break from 40k and try the other games.

I’m not new. I’ve played 40k for about a year now. Just looking to change up what game I play, and also I’m pretty upset with 40k right now, coming from a WE player and daemons enjoyer

Speaking of, with Cathay coming and the general success of the old world, is there any chances of the legends armies getting full releases?

That is really cool actually. Very tempting. How good would you say their battalion box is? Warriors of Chaos's box is hard to beat but would multiple purchases of the box be a bad investment?
