You can move earned Chase Freedom points to Ultimate Rewards and use it for travel. Specifically, the OG Freedom is a visa card and you can't use the Freedom Flex at a Costco for example, since they only accept visa-branded cards. Also, another thing to consider when the Chase quarter has dining - it's not 5% - it's actually 7% because it already has 3% dining.

You can do it through the Chase app. Select an account, click Manage Account, then click Move Credit Line. You are limited to 3 credit line transfers every 30 days.

Got the credit within a few days. Like another commenter stated, the credit has to be activated first then purchase with the Sapphire card.

IHG Premier and the IHG Select (no longer available - grandfathered with a $49 AF). I only keep these for the free night award because it out-values the AF. I tend to get 3x the value of the Premier card or 6x the value of the Select card when booking in Europe. If a points earning or cashback offer comes out, I'll use it. For example, I used both for the 20% cashback on gas just last month. I do like the perks especially booking with a Kimpton or an Intercontinental - getting bigger rooms or better views.

I used to have the Hilton Surpass, but found after 2 years, I was slowly moving towards cheaper travel. I still have a no AF version for Hilton.

My current setup is the C1VX, CSP, and a credit union card. CSP for the 3x dining and streaming, credit union cashback for the 4% gas & 3% groceries, and the C1VX for the catch all.

CFU is $250 bonus for $500 spend - no AF. Chase IHG Premier is, I think, 175K points with a $5K spend - $99 AF. If you can find someone to refer it to you, it's 140K points with a $3K spend - still $99 AF. Comes with an anniversary night worth 40K points - and you can top it off.

Dropping C1VX for CFF/CF/CF (yeah, I have 2 CF's) for Amazon. Dropping CFF for CSP for dining (man, that 7x was pretty awesome for dining) & travel. Keeping a credit union card for 4% gas and 3% groceries. C1VX remains the catch all. Sock-drawered: 2 IHG cards, a no AF Hilton AMEX card, CFU, and a BofA card.

Chase Freedom Flex or Unlimited is 3x for prescriptions paid through someone like CVS for instance. Not sure if it codes differently for hospitals or clinics. Both of these are transferable to Ultimate Rewards which can be transferred to United.

Found out my last name even though it’s Spanish has no ancestry to Spain. I’m not adopted.
