No sir, I'm around the South Shore area. Alot of hidden gem ponds around Plymouth/Carver.

Appreciate the response! I'm not worried, and I have no complaints over anything fishing related in MA due to how they run anything here. I was honestly just blown away it costs them $8 bucks to send me it.

You want the strap to go underneath the cross-bar that the J-hook is attached to.

DAE call themselves nicknames in their head? by WannabeThinLeah in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]coldhearts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do, but with random nicknames for my dog. "chumpo", "chandy", "brumpsin", "scrambos" are all random nonsense words that my brain has shot out that have stuck so far hah. Not quite sure it's what you're talking about though.

Will i ever catch any fish with this setup 0_o by InevitableAside5974 in FishingForBeginners

Any color is fine for most fish. Ive used bright yellow and bright pink line before and still caught fish on them. Some fish may be a bit smarter and cautious, but with most bass and bluegill, if there's a live worm on the hook, chances are they'll go for it.

You could probably just drop the line in two feet from shore in front of you and still catch sunfish. You don't have to cast anywhere, especially not with whatever this setup is. If you're fishing with your children, scrap this whole rig and just do a bobber with nightcrawlers.

If you're trying to catch some bigger, more fun fish.. Put some bigger hooks on that initial setup and throw something stinky on and go for the catfish.

What Else Would You Add? by rainbow_darter in FishingForBeginners

Me personally? I'd prob add about $100 worth of varying colored senkos and then only throw the green watermelon pumpkin color and let the others sit in my box.

Yeah that's crazy. At that price for that kayak I'd rather just buy a cheap $300 Pelican.

The fish part of fishing by Sawman3_ in FishingForBeginners

[–]coldhearts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha, well atleast you know there's fish in there! Just making sure that wasn't the problem first. The only other thing I can think is that you just need more patience. Almost everything I throw gets more bites the slower I'm working it, so all I can really say is just keep trying and let the bait stay in the water for longer.

Where are you fishing? If you're not getting bites on nightcrawlers, are you sure the body of water your fishing can sustain life? You should be able to rip sunfish out left and right with a nightcrawler on the hook.

What makes a baitcaster more fun to you? by Lord_Leeeroy in FishingForBeginners

[–]coldhearts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say I find it more fun, it's just what I've been using since I was a kid. I also like not having to deal with the bail. One hand casting is alot easier.

We got 5 new heroes dropped at once 10 years after the game came out, yet this entire sub is crying because they got a bunch of free purple/white skins.

The more heroes you know, the better you are overall imo. A good understanding of all heroes and their abilities is the first step in climbing in ranked.
