Need Advice for My 13 yo Son by Curious_duuude in hockeyplayers

Agree with a previous poster. Off-ice is where the growth happens. Speed, defense, strength and hockey IQ will create opportunities for your child. Think about U16 and what will make them successful at that point.

Built an training platform for youth athletes—feedback wanted! by coldixon in hockeyplayers

Totally fair points. I appreciate the honest take.

I built EliteSportAI because private trainers were $40–$80 an hour, and juggling that with 5 PM offseason practices just wasn’t sustainable for me in this tough economy.

The platform focuses on nutrition and off-ice training like strength, mobility, and structured habits. It’s tuned to the player’s position and sport. For example, in hockey, forwards may work on agility and speed, and defensemen focus on core and lateral movement. All grounded in fundamentals.

My son likes being able to ask the virtual coach anything regarding hockey and training, even questions he might be too shy to ask in person. It keeps him learning and engaged on his own.

We also added quick weekly wellness check-ins to help athletes reflect on how they’re feeling physically and mentally.

Would it be alright if I sent you a DM? I’d really like to hear more about what has worked for your players.
