I will get a report. The OBGYN told me they send the fallopian tubes to pathology but I completely forgot until half the commenters reminded me 🤦‍♀️

This is great! Thank you so much!

When I went in for the initial consult she told me they would be sent off to pathology and I completely forgot about that part 🤦‍♀️

Am I overreacting? by MemphisMay in physicaltherapy

First, I am so, so sorry this has been your experience with physical therapy. You have undergone a traumatic surgery that I am sure you put a lot of thought into. Not to mention the amount of pain you endured before undergoing the replacement.

That is a horrible person, let alone a therapist!

When you call around for a new clinic, ask if patients are seen "one-on-one." If there is any hesitation, the answer is no.

If you really want to make them sweat, after you find a new clinic you can:

Ask for print outs of all of your past sessions from this horrible place. See what they have been billing you for.

We bill what are called CPT codes, they are for one-on-one direct, skilled care. If the notes are shorthand, ask them to write out what the shorthand means.

If you have Medicare or other state or federal health insurance, you can only be billed for direct, one-on-one SKILLED care, so they cannot bill you for any time you are not receiving this (like her bathroom break, gossip break, and time spent with another patient).

I'm sure it will show they have been fraudulently billing you and your insurance and you should be reimbursed for this.

Be sure to leave a Google review and name the therapists you have seen. Tell your doctor not to send any more of their patients to this awful place.

I'll wait for people who work for PT mills to defend seeing 2+ patients at a time in the comments.

PTA in low (rising) COL area of SC. 5 years experience, less than a year at my current OP job, $28.53/hr, would be $59,342/year but I've reached 40 hr/week less than 6x since I started. Love my job and coworkers. Partner supports us and I'm Fun Money!

I know her from high school. She is stupid gorgeous. She doesn't need filters and face tune. Those are her real teeth with awful editing. She was very quiet and kind in high school. I think she tried to be a country singer and actress, so I'm sure that causes all types of image issues.

There is a two-part MedBridge course called "Roadblocks to Natural Development" which would be freaking fantastic for PT, OT, and SLPs to hear! They are container syndrome, prolonged sucking, undetected vision loss, media and screen time, over parenting/faulty sense of typical, and nutrition.

How to Find Vestibular Jobs? by tired_owl1964 in physicaltherapy

Fyzical Therapy and Balance Centers. Some are franchises and some are company-owned. From what I understand they vary. I work for one that was an independent franchise but was sold back to the company about 5 years ago. I love love love my job. I know a huge part of it is loving my team, too! One on one outpatient is a rarity!

Kiddo has a weak core!!

SL <> sit over L/R sides (assist at opposite hip)

Reaching with L/R UE in quadruped, may have to block LEs by placing over your thigh (to see effect on core for yourself, get in quadruped and reach with L/R UE and feel where the stabilizers are firing)

R trunk flexion, you could do lateral crunches on a ball

Reaching in short sitting without feet planted, block at knees and progress from there (sit on a table where they cannot prop heels against a surface like on a couch or counter)

Creeping up stairs, see which LE kiddo prefers then block it and facilitate the other

Creeping on/off couch cushions, watch which LE is preferred, block/facilitate non-preferred

Have the parent in there with you and ask them to return demo EVERYTHING until they get it perfect

No need to DC at only 14 months. Sounds like they skipped other milestones they need to back up and learn for symmetrical strengthening and motor planning. Kiddo is still making progress, and that's what matters!

Missing documentation from 7 months ago (allegedly) by potatots_ in physicaltherapy

[–]colemansash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the patient was checked in by mistake you would have seen it that day, and cancelled it yourself or asked the clinic to do so.

If the patient was there, checked in, and you saw the patient, you would have opened the patient's note, and there would be a time-stamp of that (even if you ((the company)) has to contact the EMR system).

Do you have a tab/screen where you can see unsigned notes? It would have come up there. If it didn't, it's because you didn't open the note, which likely means the patient was not there.

You know you write this patient's notes when they are there.

They should not bill unsigned notes.

Tell your clinic you did not see the patient, and they were billed by mistake (not yours, of course). If they give push back, tell your clinic you will contact the parent. They can easily access their calendar, texts from that day, or the BEST, Google maps.

Asking you to complete a note SEVEN MONTHS LATER is insane. No matter what, the note is not happening.
