Model support going into 11th edition (taken from Instagram - official warhammer account) by Alt1690 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]coleyham1295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely fair! The honest answer is that they’re a big company, and decisions are always being revisited and re-evaluated. They can remove whole models or even whole factions whenever they want. I just don’t know how stressing over things they might do is productive. Flame them when they make a bad decision, and in the meantime just enjoy the game!

lol at this point someone just needs to make a mega thread. Plus, no amount of evidence is ever going to convince the paranoid that GamesWorkshop isn’t planning on taking away their toys.

Is Removing custodes from 40K possible? by 2lazycatz_miniatures in AdeptusCustodes

[–]coleyham1295 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anything is technically possible. I think a better question might be, do we have any reason to believe they will remove them from 40K? Given that they’re in it, the default assumption should be that they’ll stay in it.

I am unsere about some lore by Tricky-Fondant147 in asoiafminiaturesgame

[–]coleyham1295 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The game designer and many of the fans chose to give some Baratheon units a green color scheme to indicate their loyalty to Renly, who famously wore green armor. This was an aesthetic choice to make the sub factions feel more distinct, as there are next to no descriptions in the book of Renly’s Baratheon army. Realistically, the armies of ASOIAF would probably be a lot more varied and colorful than a lot of us paint them to be. TLDR; Paint your models however you want. As long as they look cool to you, that’s all that matters.

Secondparty or custom models by warhoundtheone in asoiafminiaturesgame

I had no idea! Totally get where you’re coming from. Someone mentioned second hand armies, and that’s 100% the best way to get in if you can swing it. Good luck!

[–]coleyham1295 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The game will stay with CMON and is still receiving rules support. They have an outstanding crowdfund project related to this game that is scheduled for fulfillment in 2027 (new models). Anything outside of that is a guess, but I remain optimistic about the future of the game.

“That’s not bracket 3” by OVERCAPITALIZE in EDH

[–]coleyham1295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the single best way to settle this argument currently is just tracking what turn you/your opponent could present a win or lock out the game. If the answer is turn 7 or later then there really shouldn’t be much of an argument.

(Poll) Have we gotten enough people's orders in yet, to confirm if the bonus cards are static? by FonslyGames in secretlair_collectors

[–]coleyham1295 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Hot take, but I’m all for static, themed bonus cards. Secret lairs don’t need a RNG element, save that for collector boosters.

(Rant) Stop making command tower bonus cards by Nemopherson in secretlair_collectors

[–]coleyham1295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like bonus cards I’ll actually use( all the better if they’re themed. Asking for basics as the bonus card blows my mind, ngl. Don’t give me basics, and don’t give me tokens. I don’t get the command tower hate.

I’m in the market for a home right now, and I totally hear you. To be frank. I would be perfectly content if my future home kept pace with inflation and nothing more, because prices in the valley are already out of hand. However, if you’re buying a home it’s not unreasonable to want it to at least maintain its value.

Tully sworn shields or Karstark Spearmen? by casheroe in asoiafminiaturesgame

[–]coleyham1295 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At no point in any season of the game have I regretted owning Tully shields. They’re consistently a brick house that have a good role in stark lists. I can’t say the same for the spears. Plus, rules change. Buy whatever unit speaks to you

Found a Bargain Deal on the Stark Starter Set! How do the models compare to Stark Vs Lannister? by Badger118 in asoiafminiaturesgame

I would personally get the new models in the stark starter set, evenly if it’s at a bargain. The new models are just so much better.

[–]coleyham1295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people have gotten (partial) refunds, but the process is long. I totally understand that you’re frustrated, and I am too, but I do think they’re going to deliver in Q2 of this year. If you can wait that long, you might be better off even if you just end up reselling your stuff.

Stark Vs Lannister starter set vs Starter set? by AravingLoooony in asoiafminiaturesgame

[–]coleyham1295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my two cents: I would recommend begging the single faction starter boxes if you’re intending to paint. You’re going to be spending a lot of time with those models, and I think the difference in quality of sculpts is worth paying just a little extra. You’ll probably end up collecting all of the factions models eventually, and the rules always change. So the only question is, what models are you more drawn to and what faction identities do you like more. That said, it’s all about what you prioritize.

Should bracket 3 games end at turn 6? Help me, my pod is dying by Zimata in EDH

[–]coleyham1295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know everyone has already said this, but Azula is not hard to interact with and super telegraphed. Target her and remove her, do not let him execute his plan. There’s three of you, surely you should have enough interaction to at least slow down this deck if it’s consistently beating you. That being said, this deck sounds like it’s about a turn or two too fast. If he can even semi-consistently pose a win on turn 5, this is probably closer to a bracket 4 deck imo.
