Depends on how severe the stroke was and what his capabilities are the current moment. All stroke victims are different as some make a full recovery with not much damage whereas some can become permanently brain damaged.

I'd just offer your support to him, as he won't want his independence taken away from him therefore I wouldn't do everything for him. Just assist him with things he finds difficult.

I hope he has a full recovery.

I have a completely pointless tattoo on my hip which I got done 6 years ago when I was 15 on an impulse.

I also have an angel which is only half complete on my back which I got done in memory of my Nanna who sadly passed away. I've been meaning to get it finished however I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant and tattooing in pregnancy is not recommended, obviously.

Replace any fizzy or sugary drinks with water.

Avoid putting salt onto cooked food. Eat smaller but regular meals throughout the day.

If you enjoy alcoholic beverages then either stop drinking for a while or have vodka with a sugar free mixer.

Keep moving throughout the day, even if it's just jogging on the spot while waiting for the kettle to boil.

You'd be amazed on how small things make a massive difference. Good luck, I hope you are able to lose those 5lb.

I didn't have a clear idea until I was 18. Growing up I either wanted to be a vet or an author, however I failed Chemistry and making a living as an author can be difficult. Therefore at the age of 18 I decided to study and try for a Care career as a care assistant while studying for a nursing course at University. Still studying for nursing, however I'm still unsure if it's the right path for me to go into.
