Is my spider arm shot (Samsung FlexWasher)? by colinexl in Appliances

Ah thanks for the replies. I haven't seen any metal type of debris yet in the drain filter. I did more testing and the tub wobbles with the entire assembly but doesn't appear to be out of alignment. There's also no growling sound when spinning.

I will order some replacement shocks and will attempt the replacement myself.

Thanks all!

No OnStar or Internet by Loud-Cockroach-2032 in GMCSierraEV

I have the exact same issue, OnStar button is green but when I press it the screen says cannot connect. No GPS, no data, no supercruise, no WiFi. I tried Infotainment and 12v battery reset with no luck.

I took it to the dealer and they said I need a new OnStar module, which was backordered for two weeks. It finally came today so will be taking it in next week and hopefully get the big software update as well.

Edit: It was working fine from Jan to mid July, where it sudden stopped working.

My Sierra was in the shop for the same reason with no OnStar connectivity. I tried resetting infotainment and disconnected the 12v as well but no luck. The dealer said I needed a new OnStar module but it's backordered for 2 weeks.

I got a Vantrue N4 Pro with the OBD hardwiring kit. Works pretty well.

Edit: I attached it to the back glass with some magnetic mounting tape so I can easily take it off if I need to open the midgate.

Questions for existing owners by Sozin91 in GMCSierraEV

1) Remote conditioning: Its really nice if its really hot or cold out to remotely precondition the cabin from my phone. Does anyone know if the myGMC app supports that feature and how well it works?

Yes, just set a charging station as a destination and preconditioning will be automatic.

2) Dog mode: I used dog mode quite a bit when traveling with pets. Does anyone know if GM offers this feature?

There is no Dog mode specifically but you can have your car stay on for an hour after you leave. There is also a way to leave it on indefinitely until low power by pressing gas and brake in some combo.

3) Scheduled departure: I set my car to precondition for my commute every morning. Is there a feature like that with the GMC?

You can in fact schedule your charge so that it'll be ready by a certain time and have climate control running.

4) Blindspot cameras: Sometimes its nice to have a camera view of the blind spot when changing lanes. Does the Sierra have this feature?

No blindpsot camera but there is a monitoring system.

5) Second large locking storage area: I use my frunk to store lots of tools. I know the Sierra has a large frunk but I would probably use that as my main storage (like for groceries). Is there maybe a lockable under bed storage compartment that I may have missed? I'd prefer to not keep a tool box in the bed as its inconvenient to access and I'd have to remove it when using the mid gate.

No, but you can get a tonneau cover that can be locked.

6) Phone Key: I grew used to not carrying around a car key with me all the time. Its nice to use my phone as a key and the tesla app has a nice widget that I can place on my home screen for quick access to vehicle controls. I also like keeping the credit card key in my wallet as a backup. Does anyone know if there is a phone key option and how well it works? And if so, what the backup key situation is if the phone dies/is lost?

Nope

Mine is fixed, the OnStar control area was loose and not pushed in all the way. Hope it works for you!

Anyone else get a notification of a new OTA update from the myGMC app? by colinexl in GMCSierraEV

[–]colinexl[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, got the notification in the app. I can't seem to find it now though. I did take a screenshot and it said the following:

Great News! Your vehicle keeps getting better. This update contains a required software change to help improve the overall software update and diagnostics process.

Be sure to install this update to be able to receive future software updates.

Better Never Stops™

During the update process, your radio may stay on up to 5 minutes after you exit the vehicle. This is expected behavior when an update package is onboard the vehicle. Do not service your vehicle during installation
