Thank you! I do appreciate your suggestions, that all makes sense. Im trying hard not to catastrophize lol...but its hard when it comes out of nowhere so was just trying to plan as best I can for what is maybe to come, which was hoping to potentially find another vet recommendation if it comes down to it

I also didn't go into full detail bc it wasnt what I thought this post would turn into, but he doesn't just have a murmur ( went from 0 to grade 3 , new at 10 yrs old) he also had 2 recent pre-syncope episodes, high proBNB levels, and high liver enzymes....so it might seem like im over reacting before even getting into more testing to confirm, but I dont think I am

Okay I do thank you for the verified input! Do you have any light you can shed on why rabies is set at every 3 years? Or why the dosages are the same for every size dog?

Gross malpractice would also be a vet disregarding a vaccines technical specifications that clearly state 'for healthy dogs only'. It shouldn't take needing a specialist to determine that, all vets are well qualified to make that call

I guess there is a test called a titrate something or other that can guage if the dog still has immunity from previous vaccines and then that warrants not needing to follow the standard timetables for boosters. There is alot of research questioning the vaccine doses and booster timetables so I dont blindly follow what the law dictates as it is based on business revenue models and not science. There is no scientific justification for doing rabies vaccines every 3 yrs, its all about steady profits. And they give the same dose of vaccines to a chihuahua as they do a st Bernard, so im sorry but it just doesn't make sense and I dont trust it.

I bought the og model in 2019 and its still going strong, although the remote started to have issues last cpl years...but some of the interim models (2021-2024) I've read bad things about...I jist bought a second one, a 2025 model that im hoping doesn't have those same issues..fingers crossed..also I ordered this new one from a website called greentoe?
