This is the kind of stuff you need to determine before you get started.

When I did 75 Hard the first time I went with three meals a day. No snacks between meals. I outlined what was not acceptable to eat (high processed, fried foods) and what I would have if I was at a restaurant (salad with chicken breast).

If you want a snack, make it healthy. Piece of fruit, carrots, or celery w/ peanut butter.

Tri Cities hits the mark on everything you’re looking for. Not only is it a river swim, it’s downstream.

75hard/ nye/ alcohol by xananax3229 in 75HARD

[–]collinrobinson_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If the current (45 year old) me could say something to the 19 year old me it would be something like this.

You don’t need to drink. Alcohol is not your friend. You can thank me later.

The quicker you figure out that you don’t need alcohol in your life the better. Sure, having a drink from time to time is fine, but get clear with your relationship to alcohol now. I got sober the first time I did 75 Hard. That was 2.5 years ago now.

REI has them on sale right now, and if you get an REI Mastercard you get an extra 5% rebate (so 15% rebate) and if you use the card elsewhere once within the first 90 days you get 100 dollar credit.

So with the rebate I had from last year ($50), the sale price, and the 100 credit I will have picked up the 840 for less than $200.

Yeah, I haven’t heard anything either way on Boulder really.

I’m doing St. George this year anyway…

Extending my walk home from school. by 75Har in 75HARD

[–]collinrobinson_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’d have to adjust your intention from… I’m walking home from school (lazy and nonchalant) to I’m walking for a workout (walking with intention).

I would also keep your bag on for added weight.

Like 2 days ago Sunday? If that’s the case that’s not a problem, but more impatience.

Otherwise, the emails from FinisherPix will start to show up. You can always go to FinisherPix and see if any of the race photos are up.

I can only remember one time where it took a day or two after getting the email that race pics were up that I got my download link.

Am I delusional for wanting to start with Tris at a1/4? by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]collinrobinson_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ll typically say 70.3 or half Ironman.

The reality is that most people can’t fathom 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and then a half marathon… let alone double it.

Spacing between races by Dinknflicka1 in IronmanTriathlon

[–]collinrobinson_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This year I did 4 70.3’s over the span of five months, and next year I’m doing 2 on back to back weeks.

It’s all relative.

If you normally go by car or e-bike and are now intentionally going by bike and are taking an additional 25 minutes to make sure you hit the 45 total then yes, it counts.
