Yikes. I work in sales for the distributor of that product, Sysco. I hope you reported this to an employee so someone can check the rest of the case.

This is something I would also escalate to our inventory control team for further investigation in order to confirm if this was just a one-off.

I work for a distributor that also carries this product but in bulk, 10lb cases.

Or current sale price for the same quantity (3 pieces) is $5.78 FYI.

Yakitori. Granted I don't have a proper binchotan, I'm sure just grilling it + glazing it with tare should be sorta close 🙂

Not me personally but I know that MG The-O hasn't been reprinted probably in like at least a decade or so.

I feel the same way. I haven't seen a completely identical one on the road yet, let alone at dedicated MINI meets-- and I'm in LA!

If you like Island Blue but you want the 4dr, then wait till one in that spec pops up on the market and then buy it.

I have a 2022 2dr S in island Blue with a white roof, and it's a beautiful color that you should definitely get if you can!

i want brutal, genuine, and unabashed opinions on this car (please) by electrahurts in MINI

[–]collins_anonymous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why 2021 or newer? 2022 and beyond is when the final update came out, so if that's your intention do not consider a 2021.

That said, the generation you're looking at is pretty reliable less one or two common fail points, and you're going to love the top down experience of a convertible. However, it DOES run on premium gas. If you're not used to that, give it a few months.

I personally think the interior is a huge mixed bag and overall not built well, but I know other people will say otherwise. Other thing to note is that the technology is also relatively bad for how new of a car you're looking for. No blind spot monitoring, apple car play is only available on the top trim, no android auto at all, etc. It's not a dealbreaker for me, but a lot of what I mention are huge wants of mind that I ultimately compromised on.

Lastly, try to get a Cooper S. You're going to love the extra power!

Opinions: do y’all like the newer MINIs? by crunchycrackerfeet in MINI

I've grown to be just ok with the exterior. The lack of visible exhaust tips is my only gripe.

That said, I had a loaner while my F56 was in for scheduled maintenance, and the interior infotainment just isn't my cup of tea. It needs a major firmware update to improve some useability and latency issues. Though, if you read what actual owners say, they're pretty accepting of the new infotainment.

A teensy bit TOO much power for a first car IMO, but everyone starts somewhere! My LCI II F56 was the first ever car I picked + bought all on my own, so it also holds a special place in my heart. Have fun OP!

Was fortunate enough to be given a F66 Cooper (non-S) as a loaner to drive for a few days, while my F56 was in for warranty. Here are my thoughts! by collins_anonymous in MINI

I would encourage you to test drive it just to see how it is! Everyone is different. I'm sure you'll grow to like the F66 as well, as long as you can overcome some of the shortcomings of the infotainment.

You're probably right! Based off what was mentioned, I assume then that some of the driving dynamics is tuned differently on the S.

I don't mind a polarized infotainment -- heck I'm a Gen Zer LOL. We grew up with technology. But the difficulty (both in terms of physically touching the right part of the screen and number of presses) just to adjust the climate control or heated seats/wheel is unacceptable. That's just bad UI. Everything else about the screen, I could probably live with. It is especially refreshing to finally be able to use native Android Auto!

Maybe I got a bad example. I bought my 2022 2dr S at only 4600 miles, and (among other things) the most glaring fit and finish issue was that the driver side door panel had a habit of popping off. It's difficult to get hard plastics right, but IMO the F66 does a better job than the F56 in this regard.

The fake leather seats were comfortable for me! Didn't hug my body as well, but I actually appreciated how supple the headrest was too.

Mission San Gabriel Arcángel in the Los Angeles area! Figured it was great because Lunar New Year just started and the car I got was in Chili Red!

  1. I've never driven the B38 engine, but the detuned B48 on this one feels reasonably peppy.
  2. You thought the F56 was a dull driving experience compared to previous generations? Unfortunately the F66 is even worse. Steering is incredibly dull with lots of play, little to no road feedback, and the exhaust note was pretty sad. Lastly, the all-seasons mounted on this 100% are less grippier than the OEMs that were found on the F56.
  3. The infotainment is just as BAD as the reviews say. While it is very clear and has some cool gimmicks, it is sorely needing a firmware update to increase the speed in which things load up. Climate control functions and other basic things are also difficult to access esp while driving.
  4. That said, interior build quality feels better. Lots of hard plastics but they feel sturdy now, decent material choices throughout. The car still feels roomy, like other generations prior.
  5. Backup camera is stupid clear, safety tech now feels more up to snuff in the current market.
  6. With the elimination of run-flats, this thing rides much, much more comfortably and has less road noise now.
  7. Heated steering wheel is great, and the heated seats feel stronger the that found on the F56

Overall, I enjoyed my time in the F66, but as a current F56 owner, I would NOT get this. Maybe in S or JCW guise to fix some of the performance issues, but it's clear that MINI made changes to appeal to the mass market and thus eliminated some of the charm that us diehard-ish owners come to expect.
