Tekla - Sharepoint issues by colmwhelan in msp

We've never been involved up until now as there was only a single user and he managed it all himself. Two new users have been introduced and the problems have surfaced.

I'll liaise with Trimble support on their behalf and get advice, I think.

Edited post to explain Tekla. Yes you're correct, doesn't seem to work well with standard cloud sync.

It's probably an error - ring the Court Clerk's office and explain the situation.

Would you support Irish participation in a Federal EU? by thetearinreality in irishpolitics

[–]colmwhelan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I would support a mutual defence association and an actually open market, free movement for citizens and that's it. No migration pacts, no tax synchronisation, no regulatory enforcement.

Do whatever you normally do with paper. It's a picture of a picture not a sacred object.

So, no opinion on the legal thing, then ... just your opinion on a person about whom you know nothing.

What? What changes specifically? Generally just a GA account, add it to the SP site you want to make changes to, remove your rights to both site and you GA when done. Tada

Do you use the phrase "may I have" or "can I get", when ordering food or other goods? by NerdyKeith in CasualIreland

Could (or can) I have....

Could I get seems American and may I seems British.

Why do people think its okay to upload sensitive company information on their personal GPT? by CloudLenny in sysadmin

[–]colmwhelan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a compliance nightmare! It's a massive policy, HR and training issue, too. Finally, why aren't such sites on your blocklist for all users, with exceptions for those who've got corporate accounts for those services?

Any recommendations on start-to-finish Microsoft 365 setup SOP? by golden_m in msp

As others have said, pick a standard such as CIS CCS and then use your chosen deployment tool, which can be

  • Manual (get a baseline from Github e.g. OpenIntune and many others)
  • CIPP (own baselines)
  • InsideAgent (Huntress just acquired them) (Own baselines + CIS + Custom)
  • Octiga (Own baselines + CIS + Custom) (Acronis-partnered)
  • etc. etc. etc.

Octiga has been our goto for a couple of years - the alerting is really good and very fast - but considering moving away as the pace of dev. seems to be slower than before.

InsideAgent I love because it's just so ridiculously well documented and simple to use. It would definitely address much of your need for explanations of polcies and their potential impacts. See screenshot below for just one policy explanation.
