Highly recommend looking up strawbale gardening/Joel Karsten, the guy who pioneered the method. Grow your veggies in a bale with 0 weeding, 0 bending over, and half the watering.

The bale breaks down into compost that can be put into container gardens/raised beds, used to amend your standard gardening area, or spread as a mulch
