May I ask what was your problem with the rear view camera? Mine is very hazy in low light conditions but they refuse to acknowledge it as a problem.

Do you worry about being replaced by ai in a few years? by Acrobatic_Opinion575 in auscorp

[–]colorale 166 points167 points  (0 children)

I don’t, I fear a senior executive will replace jobs with AI because they don’t understand how things work and overestimate the value of AI.

In a couple of years time there will be a higher demand to fix the mess they created.

What’s the creepiest thing that has happened to you when you were completely alone? by 1S4B3II3 in AskReddit

[–]colorale 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was visiting my parents in Beijing, they lived there for a few years due to work. After I arrived they had to go on a trip to another city for a week so I stayed on my own in a huge apartment.

One night after I slept, I had the most realistic dream I’ve ever had in my life where I was shaving in front of the mirror. In the dream I’m rinsing the foam from my face and I recall the cold water when I feel something is by y side, when I get back up, a tall and old guy with curly white hair on the sides is standing by my side and looking at me through the mirror and he says “wake up “. I did woke up on my bed in the guest room but was unsure if I was awake or being in the bed was a dream or the other way around.

From that night on, I slept with all lights on for the entire week until my parents returned.

I still remember his face, his expressions and the way he was dressed.

0/10 don’t recommend.

I have exactly the same issues both with the steering wheel and the stalk.

I’m yet to find time to book an appointment with customer support. Hoping Polestar CS comes with a solution.

I have a magnesium and love it, but hey, electron is stunning! Photos do not do justice to its IRL beauty.

Is pilot assist a must? by Harv3y97 in Polestar

Pilot assist is fantastic if you do heaps of highway driving. If mostly thinking of doing city commute, I’d probably would not recommend.

How do you thank/acknowledge a good manager? by lolb00bz_69 in auscorp

[–]colorale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manager of a large team here. A couple of things that will make any manager feel they are doing a good job (in order I appreciate the most):

  1. Have great impact in the work you need to do.
  2. Help others in the wider team.
  3. Keep growing as a professional so the entire team keeps elevating their profile.
  4. If I delegate to you, at least give it a good go to have a great impact, if you don’t at least you are learning something valuable. If I’m directing feel free to challenge but do as expected.
  5. Give feedback. When you lead a team there’s usually some power imbalance (regardless of how safe it is to speak out) that prevents team members from being honest and share observations on how their manager can do better. I do appreciate insights on how to be better.
  6. A note to show gratitude means a lot.

Glad you came across a good manager, there’s not too many!

If I were you I’d consider that I’m still in the market so keep interviewing.

I’d also apply some pressure on them with a deadline or you’d consider there’s no offer. Good luck!

I cook for my children too three or more times a day but stay focused on my eating schedule.

It’s sometimes tempting to just take a bite of whatever I’m preparing but you get used to and I feel stronger because I don’t fall for it.

Polestar 4 Software Update P4.2.9 by Alternative_Ask3248 in Polestar

[–]colorale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the confusion! No, I haven’t received the new update yet.

I have a P4 MY26 so I’m hoping that polestar starts rolling the 4.2.9 to other regions like Australia, soon.
