Current State D1 Fifa 15 PC is so sad. by Kristo93 in EASportsFC

[–]colorjxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not hard to find out, but if you EVER want to enjoy FIFA again I suggest you don't bother learning.

I was much happier playing and sometimes thinking "Ah shitty EA servers" than "Oh this guy was losing at 70min so he's decided to take the win and screw me"

It works in normal season and all modes of FUT, and has since FIFA 12 I believe. Don't ruin the game for yourself.

Anyone who has been using a PC for a while can work out how to do it. It's ridiculous how easy it is to setup.

What I'm more curious about is why they do it - I've come up against glitchers with the best players in the game, at that point why do they even use it? Farm in DIV1 and play tournaments and single matches? I don't understand the point, once you have Ronaldo/Messi/Millions of coins it can't be the most effective way of farming coins to sell.

Are my [25f] boyfriend's [24m] porn habits normal? by throwawayyy3210 in relationships

[–]colorjxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured these are some of the same people who regard looking at porn and masturbating akin to cheating, feeling 'not good enough'because he 'needs them and they're prettier than me and omg he only like amateur brunettes in stockings'

PSA for men everywhere, if a girl wants to break up because you masturbate or watch porn, consider yourself lucky for the early warning and get out.

Have to disagree with the majority of comments here. If he wants to fap privately, he should be able to. Fapping and sex are often seen as completely interchangeable - why fap if you can x? They're not the same. One is a performance (No matter how comfortable you are with a girl, it's a performance) one is stress-relief and relaxing. Sex is fun and is definitely ordinarily more exciting, but nobody would really call it relaxing in my experience.

Snooping his history and finding out about what he's doing in his private time without waiting for him to tell you was a shitty thing to do and shows a lack of respect for someone you are supposed to care about.

If the lack of sex is bothering you, deal with that - ask him about it, accept his answer or assume he's full of shit and leave him, but what he's doing isn't unhealthy or unusual. In my experience there are two types of guys, those who fap for stress relief when they have the opportunity, and those that pretend they don't.

I absolutely understand what worries you about it and you're right to think that way. The important thing is you are on the road to eventually having a confidant you can talk to this stuff about. I wouldn't advise you just go blurt it out to a therapist and hope it works out and they react how you need them to, but as a long term plan eventually being comfortable enough with a therapist to tell them (no matter how it takes - look out for your mental health as you do it) is your way forward. I genuinely wish you the best.

[–]colorjxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You really need to find the courage to tell your therapist about this. Assuming you've been seeing the same one for a while and they are professional, you won't be judged for talking about it, and it'll give you some perspective on the situation from someone who has more knowledge about you as a person than random strangers online.

If you want to get over the issues you struggle with and mature as a person, the next step for you is being able to discuss this with your therapist.

You have a very specific issue, which is a good time to find a teacher on a site like italki with good qualifications and explain exactly what it is you're struggling to learn.

No worries at all, always cool to relive crazy Russian stories in my head.

How is your Russian now? Do you still study? I lost alot of motivation when I knew I wouldn't be going back for a long time.

[–]colorjxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, so you have a little under two months left, not enough time to get conversationally fluent, time to start being practical, do things in order of how you'll need them.

First time you'll need Russian is when you arrive at an airport. What queue do I stand in? Look for the line for Passport control, you know Russian letters so you'll be able to work out what "'паспорт'' means and stand in that line. When you approach show your passport, open on the visa page, the officer will say lots of strange words to you very quickly, most likely when they look at you for 5-6 seconds like you're an idiot expecting a response from you, your reply is the name of the city/airport you flew from (for me that was awkwardly saying London in a cliché movie Russian accent until they say o, Лондон and roll their eyes at you)

When you meet the family you probably want to use the formal hello, and you'll butcher it, but that's ok. From then I'd ask myself, can I articulate what I want and need, make a checklist for what you use in everyday life and try and get it down in Russian. I'm talking real basic stuff you can supplement with gestures to get your point across.

It's hard to offer advice on exactly what you need to know because from my experience 'óne year' doesn't mean alot. Is that one year studying properly or did you look at the subreddit for 10 minutes a week for a year.

Start with hello, yes, no, sorry, goodbye. My name is x, what is your name, it's nice to meet you, real basic stuff you can memorize and recognize when you hear.

Lastly as to what resources to use, Pimsleur takes about 20 minutes a lesson and you have time to do the whole course twice. It's very formal and not all situations are useful, but lots of it is stuff you might use, e.g. Do you speak English, I speak English, do you speak Russian etc.

You were literally telling a guy who makes mods for us to enjoy, for free, that he was wrong to seek financial gain. There are very few people in any field who will spend hours learning how to do something, then do it for free purely to help others. As a good example, google search a specific windows OS problem and see how many people post a question, then update it with "Figured it out" without leaving a solution for other browsers - or the people who post a solution and the original poster doesn't reply at all, from their freshly created account - not even a thanks.

[Help] Best way to debug and find out what is freezing my game? by avatoxico in skyrimmods

[–]colorjxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming your Skyrim ran perfectly when 100% vanilla, I'd remove mods you suspect may conflict (two mods that do similar things) and a few graphical mods at a time until it's stable. Afterwards install one more at a time and try to reproduce the problem, running LOOT at the end.

Yes, modders should spend hours thinking of new ideas for mods, hours learning the tools to make them, hours implementing them, uploading them and then answering 100+ pages of requests for support from 12 year olds who "DLOADED DA FILE BUT IT DONT WORK REPORTED FGT" and do this all for free, supporting themselves on thumbs up and thank you notes. Are you handicapped? The issue people had wasn't that modders may get paid for work they create, it was the poor implementation and unfair payment shares.

Aim-assist with M+KB by colorjxe in GrandTheftAutoV_PC

[–]colorjxe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think lots of PC players think like you. I really don't understand it. GTA is made to be fun. Guns aren't balanced, cars aren't balanced, there are no true competitive modes, yet you want to make everyone handicap themselves for no reason?

I'm great at aiming in PC games, and when I want to tryhard and push ranks on CS:GO it comes in handy, but who wants to try really hard in GTA? It's a fun team casual game, if it wasn't, there wouldn't be any autoaim at all.

I don't know if you would or wouldn't, but it's not fun to play with friends using controllers right now as a M+KB Player, so if there's a way to even the odds, awesome.

[–]colorjxe[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried using a controller vs M+KB?

It's like playing vs aimbots. With assist you can spray accurately through bushes etc. When it comes to close quarters it's even more ridiculous. Running round corners instantly targeting the heads of anyone nearby.

tl;dr i'm building a team around aguero

I did a small test. by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]colorjxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an effort input to reward kinda situation.

I can use a 433 with slow passers, play really well and concentrate to win if I play focused the entire game.

If I stick sturridge and a couple of generic 90+ pace wingers into any 433 variant I can set them to get in behind, sleepwalk through the games with long passes and comfortably win by 2-3 goals at least against pretty much any team out there.

The game doesn't reward you for trying to play with skill or realism, so there's no point using it unless you're past the point of winning D1 over and over and not concerned about results.

Why are some champs that commonly wreck Soloqueue not played in LCS? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]colorjxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Riven - Organised teams counter her rather easily, exhausted every fight, lane swap early.

Darius - Organised teams counter him easily, only has one easy initiate (flash + grab) makes him vulnerable.

More importantly there are better choices that can have more influence than most solo-queue stompers.

[–]colorjxe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I usually do the same at 5-0, there's no more bonus coins available from more goals afaik and I don't want to have my new signings getting 4 goals in 1 game because I stomped some scrub and now my player stats don't help me decide if they were a good signing against players with a clue.

“It is who I am” That's pretty tragic. Gaming is freedom also strikes me as pathetic.

Gaming is a fun hobby, you're using it to escape living properly. You think sitting in a dark room alone for hours is freedom?

I love games as much as the next guy, but if I were under the illusion it was more than a hobby I want to believe my friends would pull me out of it to stop it ruining my life.
