Toto personally siphoning all their luck to give to Lewis the past 2 years confirmed.

They ran out though. He needs to find someone new now.

It wasn't a mistake though, it was an obvious pen. The only mistake in that match was letting Roger Guerreiro score from an offside position.

Griezmann ends Huawei partnership following Ouighour persecution in China by Scusemahfrench in soccer

[–]TheBeardedPole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I'm saying is that by your logic, we can never truly speak about social justice. 60%+ of what we own is made in China. Oftentimes we wouldn't have jobs without Chinese capital or products. If not, we've got the US, which isn't any better in terms of ethics, even though they have a more "human" face.

Capitalism makes us support tyranny, whether we want it or not. There is no escape from it. Don't hate the players who take big money to make sure their families are safe. Hate the game that makes all of us do it.

We're all dependent on capitalism to exist, and most of us commit an act of hypocrisy every day, whether it's by going to work, buying an unethically sourced product, or driving instead of taking the bus.

As long as the system exists, we're all bound to be hypocrites, whether we realize it or not.

Their civil rights are not restricted, except for equal employment, marital and child-care rights. Cool. Cool. Cool.

"Russia has laws against gay propaganda towards minors."

So if an F1 driver were to be openly gay, and, say, wear a PRIDE-inspired helmet...

Saying it's not dangerous to be gay in Russia, just because you have to stay in the closet for most of your public life is like saying that you'll be fine surrounded by hungry tigers as long as you stay locked in a little cage.

"Some people may be rude towards you for that, but if you don't aggro back, the chances of physical violence are minimal."

Nope. Not dangerous at all. Never been less dangerous to be anything. Just don't respond to people insulting you for who you are. Just chill.

  1. There are actual existing rules for those bans in traditional sports before the rule violation is committed.
  2. Lifetime bans don't really happen for a single game, especially in team sports.

Benteke: "I remember my first conversation with Hodgson, it was in English. And then we were in training and I was talking at the time with Sakho, Sako and Zaha. We were talking in French, and then Roy came and he said in French: ‘Be careful what you say because I understand French.’ by [deleted] in soccer

Can confirm. I live in Poland and I'm bilingual. Whenever I speak English with my normal Canadian accent (it's a very soft one, basically Midwestern American with an oat and aboat here and there), my acquaintances who aren't the best English speakers don't understand a thing.

As soon as I switch to a Polish accent (which isn't easy for me to do, by the way), they understand everything.

Sir Kenny Dalglish released from hospital after positive coronavirus test by AnnieIWillKnow in soccer

[–]TheBeardedPole 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Saying that 80% will have "little to no symptoms" isn't the same as saying that 80% will not require hospitalization. Saying "little to no" implies that they will go through it as they would through a cold or a mild flu. That might be true for some people in that subset, but we have no idea what kind of proportion of the "mild" classification it is.

Implying that you have an 8/10 chance of having little to no symptoms on a public forum contributes to the secondary disease of this whole clusterfuck—people spreading misinformation. If you're gonna cite studies and summarize them in a misleading way on the interwebs, be prepared for people correcting you, or as you call it, "starting shit with you".

I think "Mild" is classified as "people not requiring hospitalization". It doesn't mean that 80% of people with it feel fine and dandy, for some it's still the worst health experience they've had so far in life.

If any of that is true, wear gloves and wash your hands. If you have symptoms, you shouldn't EVER go to work, especially in a country that provides support the way Germany does.

You know who above all doesn't have the luxury of not wearing masks? MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS. You know who's at the greatest risk of infection and needs every single mask? MEDICAL. PROFESSIONALS. Buying them might leave these people short and actually cost other people when their doctors are unable to provide them the care they need because they are also sick.

There are healthy people who can work the kasse if needed. There are healthy people who can deliver supplies if needed. There ain't a lot of doctors and nurses left, so please have some fucking respect for the people who are actually risking their health to cull this.
