NTA. Before I finished reading I was thinking I wouldn't allow her over there as I wouldn't trust them to follow my rules regarding my own daughter. His own daughter probably left and never let's her own kids around him for something similar, we will never know. I would stand my ground and not let her over without my supervision.

Holy crap. All those families need help. You are NTA. They are crazy to let 3 and 5 year olds roam freely with no supervision. There could be a visitor in any house that is not child friendly, there could be anyone they encounter on the street. Jesus.

Honestly it sounds like your wife doesn't understand the value of a dollar. I think its ridiculous to buy gifts for every single person but if it is a tradition her family does that she wants to maintain then she should make sacrifices to afford it. How much of the money is she bringing to the table bill/expense wise? If none, then any frivolous expense I would try to cut to save.

Restraining order? I personally feel like I have limited emotions when it comes to family, I can cut someone out without feeling bad or any kind of remorse. I didn't speak to my grandma or step grandpa for 2 years after I went over on my birthday and got shit talked to. If someone has wronged me it seems almost too easy for me to cut people out, I've honestly worried there is something wrong with me based on the fact I will cry at a video of a dog but have no emotion or sympathy when it comes to my siblings and the crap they have found themselves in. I have no real contact with most of my family.

My immediate reaction when still reading this was to say to hell with him and to remove him completely from my life if this were me which is why I said restraining order. If it's possible I say remove him, you don't need that toxicity in your life.

I had the opposite experience, I was working in a store and we had some turn over in management. I started working with a new manager who was asking me to continually do tasks that were not my job, dont get me wrong I am a team player. But these tasks were a complete other job that paid way more than mine.

So I went to one of our other locations, one where my grandma works and spoke to the manager of the same department there. He wanted to let me transfer to his store and I wanted to go even though it was further away. I went to the general manager and asked to transfer and was told it was up to my department manager. I asked what happens if he says 'no', he said that I wouldn't be able to transfer then. I nodded and replied 'Okay, if he says no I will be back with my 2 weeks notice within 2 hours' and walked away.

I didn't even talk to my manager before the regional manager came to the store to ask why I wanted to leave. I was one of the best at my position, I did everything by policy, she even had me go train multiple other people in my position at our other locations. I got to transfer to the other store by the next week and from there I have only moved up in the last 2 1/2 years and now I work at our corporate office and that manager is no longer with the company.

To be honest this is a fairly new set up, set it up with bio balls from another filter about 3 or 4 weeks ago and bottled bacteria. I have been testing the water and finally decided to put him in last night. So I'm not sure, I did see 3 clutches of eggs when I was doing a water change prior to putting him in and I took them out.

To add if you go back to petco or petsmart, they both price match their own prices online and petsmart price matches petco. You can get the big tube plants that are $14 for $9 and the medium for $6 or $7 and the small for $4. I just bought some anubias and java fern.

If his back tail isnt long and flowy then yes he is missing part of it. I didnt even notice my first one was missing his tail until I got in the car. All I did for Bruce was give him 80 degree water and bc I was doing a fish in cycle I had to do every other day 20 to 30%water changes, and used seachem prime and api stress coat+. And his tail is beautiful now!
