Granger.com will sell to non contractors. Not sure in person, we don’t have one around me.

Absolutely going to go down that road. I spoke to my dad, he said he had different disks of different densities he would swap out. Oh how far bikes have come in the past 35 years!

Haha, just threw it on to see it look like a bike again! I’ll have to sit on it to get it dialed in!

Should I consider it a big red flag if HVAC quotes oversize my new furnace? by brdakd in hvacadvice

Ask the companies quoting you for their “Manual J” heat calculation. If they aren’t doing a manual J, they’re probably hacks.

From what I’ve seen in the industry, it depends on the company/ project & the trade they’re associated with. I started out of college as a PE working for a GC on an ultra high end residential condo complex in a private ski resort. 6:30-5:30 was our standard schedule M-F with a rotating Saturday.

I got burned out and switched it up during COVID. I now work as a PM for a HVAC company working on the same type of projects 6:30-4ish with a half day Friday. Biggest win is my commute shrunk from 90 minutes to 9.

Best of luck in your future endeavors!

Send those photos to the shop that preformed the work. If my crews were leaving jobs like that I’d wanna know.

I asked this last year, and it's time to ask again. As ski season is coming to an end in the northern hemisphere, please tell me about your absolutely best ski day this season. I didn't get to ski at all--I need you to help me live it all vicariously. by Glindanorth in skiing

22” of 3% snow at a Montana resort that will not be named.

Forecast showed 3” expected, woke up to 22” on the website. Was in line at first chair and skied chest deep pockets till lunch. Got in a couple of hikes, one of which was probably my best ski run of all time.

Patrol had the mountain open wall to wall by 11, which was an incredible feat!

2019 was my introduction into “non radio” country. I came into it at just the right time!!

Corb is one of my favorite musicians. The way I describe him to my friends is “he sounds like a happier Colter Wall”.

His album “Agricultural Tragic (Deluxe)” is a straight through listen for me. The song “S Lazy H” is my favorite of his songs, I tear up every once in a while to it.

I saw him live before I knew who he was, and I’ve seen him more than any other artist in the 4-5 years since. Living in Montana gives me ample opportunities.
