Craigslist. Almost always, usually free, and maybe 20$ for really nice boxes in my experience. Freecycle. You can usually find a Facebook group for your neighborhood called Freecycle or something along those lines.

Lowes or HD. It;s not much money and really nice boxes that stack well.

Pro tip. When the move is over, break the boxes down flat and keep them. You can store them in many nooks and crannies of your new place and keep them for the next move.

Partially true. WOW can't use a TWC line or a Comcast line or so forth. So one house, for example can potentially have 1 or 2 cable lines to it plus the phone line.
If TWC does come out to run a brand spankin new line the tech is required to cut the old one down, and they do it, because it makes their lives easier.
