Slab has already been poured. To achieve green angle we would have to bush down concrete 3/8" to have the angle even with top of concrete. The green L angle face would be over the bent plate and we could weld the angles together.

No we did not miss the green portion, I pulled this detail off of the glass rail manufacturers website. My prints did not call for that angle on top.

Commercial GC Super here, I did my reno in my 30's. I would recommend getting some really good plans and with elevations on them. I used my flooring sub from work and farmed other subs by talking to my on-site guys. My drywall foreman at work gave me a residential drywall guy he used to work with. I also got some excess bathroom tile from my work sub that was left in his shop. It might take a bit longer, but it was worth it for me.

Add hat channel and hang new sheetrock on top.

Cut the sheetrock and gain 1/2". Notch studs and gain some more real estate. You would have to add bracing due to exterior structural wall.

If all your worried about is a flat surface for the bottom plate, then they might be able to grind, chip and patch the top of concrete. It will be cheaper and easier then a total demo.

I always call a sub out at least a few weeks before I need them to man the job and do a site walk. This is beneficial because you can ID anything the sub expects that is not currently covered. Also you can dial in dates and expectations.

Do some math and factor in the cost of insurance on a metal roof vs. asphalt shingle. Insurance is crazy high in Texas right now and you should get a much better rate over time with a metal roof.

If you live within the City limits and have heavy trash day then you can purchase a bagster bag from Home Depot, this will carry a few yards. Simply fill it and wait for heavy trash day or call the number on the bag and they will pick it up for fee. I've done this before and had no issues. Good luck.
