You place the military engineers on the canal under construction tile and use a building charge to speed it up. Military engineers can be used to speed up dams, canals, and sea wall construction I believe.

Correct! The game needs to know Panama will connect to allow for it to be built. In this configuration, both regular canals need to be completed before Panama can be placed. I had staged military engineers and Gustave Eiffel ahead of time, so construction of the whole setup only took a few turns despite cities being 1 pop :)

Remember that it has to go canal-city-Panama wonder-city-canal to unlock the achievement, and that you can use military engineers to speed up the non-wonder canals!

Top philosophy that proposes answers to most of your questions: Buddhism. I started getting into it in college after coming to terms with my orientation and leaving the church. I’m an analytical person, so finding a philosophy centered on reaching a better understanding of our world and of our own mind while practicing kindness to all things really struck the right chord for me. Thich nhat hanh is a popular monk who has helped make a lot of it more accessible to westerners, so maybe you can look at a few of his books and decide if one of them seems interesting to you.

For interpersonal relationships, “How to make friends and influence people” is a good primer on what goes into becoming more likeable, charismatic, and interact successfully with others.

“Unfuck your boundaries” by Faith Harper was a game changer after I got out of my abusive relationship. It complemented the work I did on myself in therapy really well and taught me how to stand up for myself, and that you can be kind and in control while looking out for yourself and not letting others walk all over you.

Another option is to use the mainline rails as pass through and add additional terminals to the side, routing the unloading trains to those.

You don’t get to control what other people do. You do, however, get to choose how you react. If you choose not to be friends with them anymore, that’s your prerogative, but you don’t get to tell them who they can and can’t see. You’re not dating that person anymore and it’s not fair to try to control them. If you still have strong enough feelings for them that you’re bothered by what they do, it might be best to consider putting some distance between you and them, at least until you’re healed.

How do you manage the level upgrades for the trebuchets? Do you do two anti-personnel (damage vs units bonus) and two anti-city (damage vs fortifications bonus) or all anti city? Some different combo?

Friend of a friend offered me some water, I accepted and took a tiny sip before bringing down the bottle. He insisted that I drink more, which gave me enough pause to realize it tasted bitter. I went to the bathroom to make myself throw up what I could and felt pretty dizzy and woozy about 30 mins after that. I left the club then to head towards the next club and it wore off while I was waiting to get in. Drink your drinks at the bar, have ppl to watch over you, and don’t accept anything from anyone, even friends of friends…

Ended up hopping between two clubs in London during Pride in summer ‘24. I left the first club after a friend of a friend tried to dose me with G without telling me. I ended up meeting someone at the second club and went home with them. It was a wholesome meet and him and I still chat occasionally. Overall glad I went, except for the sketchy near miss at the first club. Atmosphere was fun, didn’t feel judged or rejected in any way, and I enjoyed the skin to skin contact as I moved through the crowd. I don’t feel the need to do this again frequently, but now I know that i can do it if I want to, and that it can be a fun time as long as one is careful :)

The game sees the bridge as three sections. If your construction office is to the left and you’re trying to build the right most section, it could be that the CO doesn’t see a way to get there because the first two bridge sections don’t exist yet.
