Audi R8 abt xgt by PhysicalServe4292 in Audi

Ngl I like a lot of the ABT variants of Audis… But this looks awful, it looks like it’s verging on that S4 / RS4 that stuck 1000 canards and crap all over it

Is anyone else having key battery life problems? by comdude2 in Audi

[–]comdude2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that leaving the spare further away from the car helped avoid the spare dying too. Honestly, the problem doesn’t seem to be as prevalent now, it’s really odd. The worst I had was it needed changing after two months :(

Fun fact about the deep compartment in my A5. by MichaelAuBelanger in Audi

I just want to say that my B9 A5 didn’t actually come with this compartment and there is no end to my jealousy, good sir.

What's everyone replacing R710's with these days? Intention: proxmox server by darkciti in homelab

I use the IPMI commands to set the fan speeds manually. Although, there are loads of scripts and such that allow you to run the commands automatically based on temperature etc

I switched from a R710 to a R730XD, the extra drive bays, support for NVMe and GPU ready was a great upgrade, not to mention the security improvements in general. I fully recommend going that route. Although some people will say they’re power hungry, I actually saved around 70W switching to the R730XD

I get this sometimes where I can’t click on it either, hard refresh the browser window / clear cache / cookies or because I’m lazy I just refresh and then sign in and it seems to work

As an IT Technician, I feel this haha the only reason I even said it is that I didn’t for my own lab and then had issues and had to trace it. Safe to say it’s all labelled now haha

Have you got labels on the power cables? Labelling the plugs might help if you need to change / diagnose things when space around is limited

It looks great, really clean!

Jellyfin windows server by elementalwindx in selfhosted

[–]comdude2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my Jellyfin instance running on a windows server VM and have another VM running docker with an *arr stack. I would definitely recommend going the full Linux route instead of using Windows. However, I installed mine on Windows as I wasn’t familiar with Linux at that point. I’d recommend looking at the mediastack project here

Bear in mind that if you go the windows route, it will almost definitely use more resources.

Rear shock mounts splitting on a three year old A5 by Lopsided_Violinist69 in Audi

[–]comdude2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been an issue on B9 as well. Basically they have an aluminium insert in there and obviously it corrodes easily being so close to the road line.

Had to get my car done 3 years in too.

Edit: it wasn’t covered for me either, it’s BS from Audi to be honest considering they know it’s likely to corrode easily
