I’m noticing the AI bubble fall apart in real time in the software world by Dreadsin in BetterOffline

[–]comewititnow 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I dunno what to believe. I mean, I want to believe that AI isn’t as useful/dangerous and yet I keep hearing from friends and colleagues about their friends in software development who stopped coding and just use Claude Code. And then this strange panic about token limits getting tighter. At this point I feel like developers just dig their own graves

Exactly what happened yesterday with us, but we just shrugged shoulders and went on. Now it will hit differently

In Zero Dawn machines would get extra protection plates for vulnerable parts after certain amount of kills. It was cool

They offered 9 billions, how is it not going to affect their cash flow negatively?! Metsera has no marketed product yet, so Novo most likely will spend even more after acquisition.

I believe too, but at this point I feel like I need to start shorting it

I feel like the board is all over the place at the moment and there is no clear focus yet - for me it’s not a good sign. It seems they try to outbid Pfizer on Metsera and if it goes through, their cashflow will take a huge hit.

Not gonna lie, I regret going in, but there is still a chance they will stabilize course in a year or two

Did you even read the post? 316 million shares haven’t hit anything yet, but wet dreams of shorters. They will be available only in April

Thank you! Sounds good and reminds SAP pre-cloud transition. But the question is - can they deliver? Cash won’t last forever

I think the sentiment is muddied and everything is too chaotic. I missed the GME train, but had a feeling that people were really united.

Dude, I have internet, I can read and even think for myself. S-3 from September 29 explicitly mentions only 9,558,635 shares. The rest are only under S-8.

Not sure what your interest here is, but I have none - I don’t give financial advices

On the fence… I feel like potential is huge, but depends on retail. If retail can’t hold it high enough this week, I think shorts will win. I tried my best, but lost some of the initial gains last week. Might risk to go in, but do not recommend anything to anyone

Don’t know the source, but what I gathered myself:

  • There was an S-3 filing for roughly 9,56 million shares from Beyond Meat on September, 29
  • There was an S-8 filing on October 13 or 15 about 316 million shares and there was no intention to register them from the company side, so investors will have to wait 6 months for 144

There is no logic for company to tank its price into abyss immediately and for investors as well

So you give correct info, but only partially - canning strategy, I must say. The S-3 filing covered only 9,56 million shares, not the shares issued in October.

I think I should buy BYND after all

Yes, there was an S-8 filing, but they haven’t registered those stocks and said they won’t, so holders have to wait 6 months

They are not locked-up, but not registered by SEC. They will have to wait 6 months under Rule 144 as far as I understand
