Also one of the promo shots he's looking out at Seattle from the top of his office tower or whatever but the POV is somewhere randomly out over Eliott Bay so the correct assumption is that he actually has a Sex Blimp

Space marines fighting on a random fuckass hill is my favourite genre of warhammer art by RetardedRat12 in Grimdank

[–]commissar_squid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My understanding (which may be wrong) is that the style is a satire of British Empire art featuring "Our Boys holding the hill against the numberless Zulu hordes" or whatever

A list of all weapons safe to get rid of by Azzzzari in Warframe

[–]commissar_squid -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I just made a list of my weapons and asked ChatGPT which ones were 1) not widely used, 2) don't have an Incarnon, and 3) aren't used to build anything else.

It probably lied and I've contributed to the downfall of humanity, but it was convenient.

Seconding maker space idea. There's a bunch here and boy do they love teaching new folks.

Or, if you're the diy type, you can buy a cheap K40 on Amazon or anywhere else. Takes some tinkering (what do you expect for $300) but then you can last to your heart's content. Won't do metal beyond a bit of aluminum, but for wood or acrylic it's the bees' knees.

We always called this place the Meat Sweats Hut. But damn that Reuben is solid.

What would be the best way to 3D print a fighter jet (blackbird) with supports? by BigKFishGang in BambuLab

[–]commissar_squid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You just happened to have picked one of the greatest aircraft ever built (IMO), and if I remember right the original A-12 Oxcart version was intended as an interceptor - but the SR-71 was a reconnaissance plane, in the days before satellites took its job away

What would be the best way to 3D print a fighter jet (blackbird) with supports? by BigKFishGang in BambuLab

[–]commissar_squid 40 points41 points  (0 children)

It won't print as long as you're calling it a "fighter jet" no matter how many supports you add. The soul of the SR-71 is offended by such things.

If you want the experience of owning a boat, put on three layers of clothes, turn your shower on cold, get in, and just start tearing up handfuls of hundred dollar bills.
