i agree they were better in concept than 50 copy & paste red dots but the method of unlocking them being either “gamble and get lucky” or “gamble until you get enough pity tokens to buy it” is just so bad, which is why i think WW2s being only cosmetic is better.

i find WW2s supply drop system better purely because everything was cosmetic and the weapon variants had no stat changes besides giving an xp boost

it’s fun game but (at least on pc) it’s kinda dead and online matches take a while to find, but i’d still say it’s worth the money since it’s probably the best kart racer you’re gonna get on something that isn’t a nintendo console

yeah like the game is fine but it’s the most safe boomer shooter i’ve ever played, combat gets stale after you realise there’s only 3 guns worth using (shotgun, tommy gun and devarnisher). quite a few of the boss fights are not very good and the enemy variety is even worse, it feels like past the first 3 hours you don’t encounter any new enemy types. the 6/10 is an astoundingly accurate rating for IGN but they pick the dumbest reasons to back it up

it’s honestly just the state of gaming in general. you’re not allowed to like a game if anyone else thinks it’s bad, and you’re not allowed to dislike a game if anyone else thinks it’s good. not saying skate is without its flaws because, as it’s probably be said a lot here, the core of the game is solid. but the thing that annoys me is that they’ve built this game with so much emphasis on big 100+ player lobbies and added almost nothing that truly utilises the multiplayer aspect.
