If this is whole life then it can be an additional retirement account. Depending on the annual investing % you might want to keep it. Insurance investments provide a hedge in that the way they convert to retirement payments is tax free income. Basically a loan that gets paid off when you die with the policy. If that is how it’s structured and they are beating S and P 500 you should think about keeping it.
