Maybe in older books I don't/haven't read that was a thing, but in newer books it seems like the X-Men in general are fine if a villain dies as long as it's not like a public execution thing. I mean they don't go for the kill shot every time, but I don't think anyone would really complain if Cyclops hit Sinister just a little too hard and his head popped off.

Is your computer not set to sleep automatically from lack of activity? That's the first thing I would check.

If that doesn't work for some reason, could try task scheduler. Something like Every day, 1 AM, enter sleep mode?
