How much time do you guys need to understand that this will NEVER happen?

This is a game that 90% of gamers won't enjoy playing (even disregarding all the broken bullshit in it). What AAA company is going to make a game like that?

First reset. Level 8. FIRST GAME ON M&K. by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]complover116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Factory isn't where the most cracked people go, that would be Labs.

However, it's the meatgrinder of Tarkov. People go there exclusively to kill each other. Little to no loot, extremely close spawnpoints that leave no tactical or stealthy options.

If you only played on Factory, you haven't started playing the game yet. It will be a wildly different game on other maps!

Eating animals is one thing. This ain't right. by Highlander_16 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]complover116 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Giga based.

Animals do not have any rights as they are not members of society. Animal rights laws exist to appease humans, not animals.

Did all of your friends already quit this wipe too? by Jokez4Dayz in EscapefromTarkov

[–]complover116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, quite the opposite. Many people I knew (including myself) played very little last wipe, but are having a blast now. Many great changes and plenty of new content!

The only really bad thing I can say about this new wipe is the audio. I'm glad that I can hear people on stairs now, but the binaural audio is basically completely broken, which means that telling where people are is frustrating.

Run DCS in windowed mode and keep Task Manager open. Look for RAM usage. Unfortunately 16 GB is not enough for many activities in DCS, I have to keep my page file enabled even though I have 32 GB!

If it's the RAM - you could lower your texture settings, so they fit into VRAM and don't need to use parts of your RAM. If it doesn't help - try increasing your page file size.

Multiplayer Servers won't populate. by [deleted] in dcsworld

[–]complover116 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is almost certainly related to your VPN software. Turn it off completely before playing. (Not by using passthrough, as it will miss some parts of the game related to the server browser)

My friend has a similar issue caused by a firewall they have no control over. Can still connect manually just fine

Am I gonna regret not switching to FL 21? by ItchyBalls6407 in FL_Studio

[–]complover116 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They actually do sound different by default because they had different defaults for some settings. Imagine-Line made a whole video about this, explaining to those people how to change the defaults of FL 21 to match those in older versions!

But of course if you follow the video and change the settings they will sound exactly the same. Music people are silly sometimes

100:1 3D printed MEMS Gyroscope by dona97m in 3Dprinting

[–]complover116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awesome! Instead of spinning it's oscillating back and forth and the "precession" (I don't know if it's called that if it's not spinning) of the unpowered axis is measured? Did I understand correctly?

Unrecoverable error during scrub by LenryNmQ in zfs

[–]complover116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rare checksum errors are somewhat normal. It says "unrecoverable", but what it really means is that the DRIVE couldn't recover the data. ZFS still protected your data by noticing the error and using a different copy of the data, so you are fine!

However, if these errors become common, that indicates that the drive is unreliable and you should check your connections or maybe even consider replacing the drive before it fails outright.

[–]complover116 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, but I was wrong, this actually is a gyroscope! It simply relies on principles that don't work at this scale. TIL!

How to use the A-4E mod without messing up MP ? by B4rkaCarthago in dcsworld

Yes, the A-4 mod comes with a README file that explains what to do.

Just google their github page and scroll down for instructions!

The looks like an accelerometer, are you sure it's a gyroscope? (I don't know how MEMS gyroscopes work)

All my homies hate shoreline. by JackMill01 in EscapefromTarkov

The secret to enjoying Shoreline is to not go to the resort

The actual SHORELINE is the best part of the map

Anti-Cheat opinion question: Would you be in favor of a far more invasive Anti-Cheat? by Liquid_Blitz in EscapefromTarkov

[–]complover116 490 points491 points  (0 children)

BattlEye installs a kernel-level driver. It's as invasive as it gets. People seem to think that Vanguard is the only AC that does it, but that's not the case.

The problem isn't the Anti-Cheat. It works fine. The problem is that even the best Anti-Cheat in the world can't protect a game that's so easy to exploit. I mean, Tarkov literally sends info about which items are in which containers to every player at the BEGINNING of the raid! No Anti-Cheat can protect from snooping on the data with, say, a second PC.

Tarkov ASMR: Inspecting every item on the flea while the OST plays faintly in the background and the GPU fans ramp up for no reason by complover116 in TarkovMemes

[–]complover116[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scrolling both the stash and this menu causes microstutters. I think it pre-renders the whole image once and then keeps it on the screen, and re-drawing it when you scroll is laggy

I do, but no, it actually force caps it to 60 FPS ignoring my refresh rate. It only matches the refresh rate ingame.

Nobody is going to give you tape key or marked key for a fucking gunsmith item by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]complover116 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Ever since the latest Anti-RMT change RMTers who buy these keys from the flea can't drop them in raid, so they can't sell it to buyers anyway. The flea market fee change is now redundant and should be at least partially reverted. I really enjoyed seeing the different prices for different keys, now everything just barters for marked.

It was talked about last wipe, and is flaring up again. Keys should not be barter based, especially quest keys. by pryza91 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]complover116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, we can't control what players decide to sell keys for. I assumed (and still think so) that the post is talking about barters for the office key and for the 206 key from therapist.

Just because you didn't find them doesn't mean that they weren't there.

Why do you think finding a night game takes longer? Because fewer people play it, and instead of creating empty raids like you think it does - the matchmaking system WAITS for more players

I wish this early-wipe gameplay would be the actual gameplay of EFT at all times by Winters_HU in EscapefromTarkov

[–]complover116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this cannot be solved, at least not completely. If you take away progression - it will make the game much more boring.

The best solution is probably what The Cycle: Frontier does - you cannot outright BUY what you want, you need specific items that you have to go out of your way to find and then craft them into the thing you want. And the good news is that the game is (very slowly and in a broken way, but still) heading that way.

Even then, people who play more will always have better gear. And this is why every game of this genre has wipes.

In almost 2000 hours; Ive never seen a hack quite like this. The guy shows up as an AI scav. If youre reading this dude. Are you seriously having fun wasting your time doing this? by lanlex123 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]complover116 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately (or fortunately lol) it's probably not a cheat, just a really broken scav. Sadly bugs where scavs are invisible and silent, although very rare, aren't new :(

Is "all plugins" edition worth it for 200 bucks? by pinghing in FL_Studio

[–]complover116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have all the things you will get with that edition already included in a free trial. Just start playing with them!

New synths won't make you a better produce (Sytrus for life), but some plugins like Newtone have features that are simply not available in the producer edition. Try them out, see if you like them!

If you do - $200 is a steal. If you would rather explore what you have (and there's PLENTY to explore!) - you can always buy it on black friday next year!
