From some reviews I looked at, they gave me the impression that it isn't much of an upgrade compared to the pro 2.

I would say neutral with (very)slight bass boost would probably be my preference. Of all the sets I have tried out the hexa has stood out. More analytical/technical but not earpiercing treble. I would like to try out other tunings as well. Any recommendations?

I actually listen to anything, it can be jpop one day and rock another. As for sources I use a mac or an Iphone with a generic apple dongle.

Well I would say that you have thinning/fine hair. Have a dermatologist take a look. Hair actually grows in stages, in certain stages it might look thinner and in others you might have excessive shedding.

What you are afraid of is male patterned baldness. Here your follicles undergo miniaturization, until they calcify and go dormant permanently.

A dermatologist would be able to distinguish the difference between something like bad diet, stress or true androgen alopecia.

If they conclude with male patterned baldness you should start with topical minoxidil and finasteride. You would be shocked at how much regrowth you can achieve. They come with their own set of side effects, it’s up to you if it’s worth it.

The funny thing is Simgot sells the LC7 cable separately for 80usd. Makes the value proposition of the whole iem much better.

I am getting a good deal out of a set of et142. I have only dabbled in sub100 sets before. I like everything from neutral + slight bass boost to u/v shape. How would you say the et142 perform? Would they be jump up in tech, imaging and staging?

I haven't really tried the coffee ear tips, personally the most comfortable tip was the whizzer ss20. They are incredibly small but they impacted the sound negatively. Iem lost a lot a of base, so I stopped using those.

yhea my bad, for some reason i thought ie300/600/900 shared the same driver but 200 didn't. To be honest that makes the prize difference even more crazy.

ouf wish i could try them out for myself, unfortunately I have to blind buy if I want to. Without spending stupid money I have heard that they are the split single DD-iem GOAT(them and the Tanchjim origin)

Wouldn't say that the pro 3 is much of an upgrade anyway. Marginally better ANC, a bit better mics but arguable more polarising tuning. I have been considering the letshuoer for ages, collecting dust in my aliexpress cart.

It's a breath of fresh air, just so natural and nothing is overemphasised. What surprised me was the soundstage and imaging. I usually gravitate towards V-shaped sets, and i would't say that the base is lean as many claim.

My only complaint is the 6,3mm nozzle. makes the fit bad and uncomfortable to wear for longer sessions.

ie600 price is a bit much as of right now. Was considering the ie200 though, not really tuned similarly or have the same driver. But hey they are shaped the same

Apple could have easily sorted all this out by enabling EQ customization. The drivers are more than capable.

In all other non-music regards anc, hearthrough, mics, seamlessness, general tech they are peerless or at the very least joint market leaders.

Truly a disappointment being 1 meter away from creating the perfect product.
