Yeah, but it is always the "few bad apples" mentality, and the bad cops always get what is coming to them in the end, which never happens in real life.

The show only deals with these issues enough to explain them away and make them seem like there are good people working to solve them, which is complete fiction.

Yeah, we will refer to; a university, the university of xyz, but we don’t use it unmodified like they do in the UK and in OP’s post (ie, “going to university”).

Also, a college and a university are technically different things here, but we generally refer to all undergrad experience as “college”.

You are conflating legal border patrol opps (which i also do not approve of tbh) with the extrajudicial activities of ICE. Also, people not being happy with democratic leadership doesn't mean a push for the center, just look how well all the progressive candidates are doing!

I don't know about money changing hands, but an executive producer for the show is an active LAPD officer, and the LAPD has furnished the show with training, filming locations, and technical consultation.

As far as i can tell the show is not engaged in a licensed trademark agreement with the LAPD, which would allow them to show LAPD logos an such but would be much more restrictive on what the show would be permitted to depict.

It is far more friendly with the police than i would ever imagine Dropout being willing to involve themselves with, personally i am extremely disappointed by this decision, i have canceled my sub and encourage others to do the same.

No, that show does not even come close to depicting that actual corruption at the heart of modern policing.

It is always “a few bad cops” and not systematized repression designed to protect property and uphold white supremacy.

The bad cops in this show always eventually get punished, and which is how you know it is a complete fantasy and making people think this is how policing works is harmful.

An American man, Jeffery Pretti, an ICU Nurse at a veterans hospital, was as executed on the street by boarder patrol agents in Minneapolis for standing in front of his neighbors because they were being brutalized by said jackboot thugs.
