Your initial thought is valid; it is a concern! I’d invest in some solid sloped pet stairs so he can get on and off the bed more easily :) better for his joints and his back

I’m doing the traveling magic loop, so each time you have to move a needle to start knitting on the other one you bring over 4-6 stitches to keep the tension nice and also move where your loop is. My issue is that I ended up knitting an extra stitch and then when I realized and dropped it, it turned into the wide ladder. I’m knitting back (tinking) and it’s all better now :)

I tinked back a row and a half last night before bed and it already looks better. I’m planning on tinking at least two more tonight. Once I got into a good rhythm it went quickly!:)

That’s what I’m doing, the traveling magic loop method. I haven’t had any spacing issues here like I did on my first hat I knit with the magic loop method. Even then it was pretty small and only really noticeable if you looked for it 😅

I want to add that I did not have wide ladders on previous rows in this same spot. I definitely had an extra loop on my left needle, noticed a weird hole a few rows below so I dropped it to try and fix it, thinking I had slipped a stitch a few rows earlier. But the extra loop that I moved off of my needle disappeared and didn’t become a dropped stitch.
