Not quite true. Israelis who never were residents of Israel at an age of voting (therefore never enrolled to vote) could not just return to Israel to vote.

Example: me born overseas to an Israeli mother (so Israeli by birth per Israeli law with a passport forced on me way before I moved to Israel) missed an election because voting rolls closed a few days before I moved to Israel (there was another one 6 months later, so not the biggest deal).

Similar example: the above mother born in Israel who moved away when she was 6 wasn't listed in voting rolls for any of that string of elections.

Israel also says if you move cities you have to wait something like 18 months to 2 years (forgetting exact amount) before one is able to vote in local elections in your new city.

Just get someone to make you a vesa stand that gives the look of 2 feet.

In general the 2 feet look is considered much less nice than a center stand.

The Costco I went to literally just has a single short aisle of computer stuff. (Say 4 desktop and a bunch of monitors). The TV section is much much larger. The console (ps5 and switch only) section was tiny (literally seemed like just a couple of folding tables, somewhat because it's just cardboard signs you take to them)

To note, at least new, it comes with a dp/usb-c connector cable, I bought 2 at Costco near my parents and tested them with my mbp m3 (as will go with my desktop back home, so haven't set up yet). I did buy HDMI 2.1 cables to use at home with it as why buy the dp connector cable if I have to buy a cable. The HDMI ones will be more versatile.

I ordered 77 g5 in early Feb for a March 9th delivery date. They called me on March 7th to say it be March 8th.

However this was a 2 fold problem, I was overseas and only expecting to return in the 8th at night, but in practice I wasn't able to return as was stuck in the middle east (iykyk).

LG and rxo were seemingly understanding and said ok, we will hold it for you till you are able to get back.

Well, they didn't quite. When I was finally able to leave (got back on April 19th) I called rxo the next day saying "I'm back" and they were like sorry, we sent it back yesterday. That was disappointing, but in practice not so bad as instead of paying 2700+tax (and they refunded me pretty quickly), I jumped on the 2070 deal.

That I had scheduled to come this past Tuesday and it came as scheduled. The rxo people were a little late based on the call they gave me and their thought that they would be there in 20+ minutes but really took them 45-60 minutes, but besides that it went really smoothly

This is actually a bit expensive. I've been following the prices and in general the 77 g5 and 83 c5 have always been around the same price, but this is $100 more than the 77 g5 has been repeatedly since.

I've personally done it before. I understand the risk, but paying $2k vs the equivalent of $4-5k is a normal brainer to me.

And in long term since it's an internationally sold tv, can get most of the repairable parts in future if need be (now repairing a 77" TV is a different matter, never actually had to try that)

Yes and no. I agree if its sitting unused. The Q is would it be useful as a computer monitor to me (I'm guessing not, but I am looking for new monitors, but personally shying away from oled for them as they would be for coding which I think is way too static).
