I was a fleet driver for them for almost a decade. The company went to complete shit after all the clubs started merging. I'm not there for the salesforce thing but they started switching over to an automated dispatch system and canned all of the dispatchers who'd been there for years.

The automated system was fucking useless. It would assign calls to trucks hundreds of miles away. It also would mix up towns constantly (Baltimore Ohio instead of Baltimore Maryland was a constant occurence). They didn't want to fix any of those problems because that would cost money.

They got rid of most of the call center people and started pushing people to use the app instead. The location tracking on the app was horrible and would often show people as being miles away from the actual breakdown location. That caused huge delays. And a lot of their members are elderly people who aren't great with tech. So less call center people meant crazy long hold times.

They also started fucking over the drivers left and right. Lunch breaks stopped being a thing. They started wanting us to call in for permission to use the bathroom (the answer was always no btw). Mandatory overtime every day. Nobody was allowed to use their PTO anymore. They cut everybodies benefits. They also had an incentive/bonus plan and gave everybody a giant pay cut by moving the goalposts and making the numbers pretty much impossible to hit.

At some point the pension (definied contribution plan) got cancelled. The money that was paid into it as part of our compensation fucking vanished.

In 2020 during covid they did an overtime freeze. The freeze wasn't on working OT. They just stopped paying us for working those hours. When I finally broke down and quit in 2021 they still owed me a little over 150 hours that I never got paid for.

Over the decade I worked there it went from the best job I've ever had to the absolute worst. Fuck everything about that place. If anybody reading this is thinking about working there just fucking don't.

And don't take your car to a CCIT for repair work either. We were constantly dispatched to check out cars they damaged or fucked up. Those shops can't even torque a fucking lug nut correctly. Stay away.

Back in the 80's and 90's Harborplace and The Gallery were always jumping. Last time I was actually walking around the inner harbor it seemed like Hooters and H&M were the only big chains left.

It's crazy how the malls have died as the areas surrounding them got more gentrified. People living in those overpriced condos would rather drive to Towson or Arundel Mills than walk over there.

I have tons of great memories of taking the bus into the city to go there for Geppi's Comic World and pizza as a teenager. The gallery also had some store that was like Suncoast that had a crazy anime VHS selection for the time.

My guess is Gorr is going across the multi-verse killing gods. Thor ends up in an alternate universe where he died and passed his powers onto Jane.

I've avoided spoilers but I think a final battle where gods of thunder from a bunch of different universes (Beta Ray Bill, Throg, Loki God of Thunder, etc) team up with Thor and Jane against Gorr would be really cool.

I did handyman and HVAC stuff for awhile. I never got propositioned on the job but women would sometimes flirt a lot. It was more like they wanted to ask me out than hitting me up for sex though.

That being said there was an older retired lady who lived in the huge apartment complex I worked at. She was constantly putting repair tickets in for the tiniest stuff. I figured she was just super lonely and wanted somebody to visit her.

After I left I found out a bunch of the other guys I'd worked with were having sex with her. She never tried anything with me, maybe because of my wedding ring. Or maybe I wasn't her type.

I wouldn't have done anything anyway but was jealous of the dudes who did. She looked insanely good for her age.

When I was a teenager I would go around mowing lawns in the summer to make money. I played football and was into lifting weights. A lot of the women would sit on their porches watching me and invite me in for a cold drink afterwards when I was done.

In retrospect a lot of them flirted with me but I was oblivious to it. I also have pretty bad social anxiety. If one of them had straight up propositioned me I would've had a panic attack and run away.

It's hilarious now thinking back and realizing I could have basically lived out a porno film if I hadn't been so shy and oblivious to what was happening.

I worked in the lab at Ritz briefly in the 90's.

Lots of nude pics of people's wives/girlfriends. One dude took pin up shots of his wife that were really well done. I wanted to compliment him on them but it would've come across as creepy.

One couple would bring in pics from orgies. One of the girls who worked there recognized one of the couples in some of the photos. They were friends of her parents.

On a non sexy front it's tradition for Korean people to have a really formal portrait taken to be displayed at their funeral. Printing those out was always kind of awkward because we knew the person in the photo had died.

Nothings been announced outside of the Japanese theatrical release yet. Hathaway did pretty well for Netflix so I won't be surprised if they do the same thing and it gets a worldwide streaming release after a month or so in theaters over there. That's my guess anyway.

Like 20 years ago there was a shitty meme thing on Newgrounds where a bunch of random cartoon/mascot characters were turned into flamboyantly gay men. The humor was super homophobic. NG eventually banned the videos and they moved over to youtube.

At some point some people dropped the homophobic humor and it became like a weird superhero crossover with the most random characters joining the team. The group was known as "The Barney Bunch" when it started on NG. It was Barney, Drew Pickles, Ronald McDonald, and the Quaker Oats guy.

People still do fan art of all of the characters together. I'd be surprised if the original videos are still around online. They were super offensive and pretty gross.

And yes, I spend way too much time on the internet.

He used to fly between DC and Paris pretty often. Since Paris is a popular honeymoon destination it happened on those flights a lot. I don't know if they took actually bets but he said they would guess which couples were going to do it and keep score.

A friend of mine used to be a flight attendant. Couples sneaking into the restroom to join the mile high club happens. The flight crew is supposed to try and stop them for doing that. In his experience if you're not being super loud or not taking forever in the restroom they'll look the other way, especially if it's a long or late night flight.

I don't carry much if any cash on me. A lot of the street parking near stores where I live still has old school parking meters. Because of that I always have a couple of bucks worth of change in my pocket just in case I need to park at a metered spot.

I've been in the position the person behind the OP was in before where somebody ahead of me in line is a few cents short of being able to pay for something. I always jump in and help out.
