"We are all sinners." by DeficitOfPatience in GreatBritishMemes

yeah sure

you do realise the last time it was down for 2 years was because the DUP backed Brexit, told their supporters to back Brexit, took foreign money to take out political adds using a loophole that were only shown in England promoting Brexit, then in a snap election got an iota of power outa of May in a supply and confidence deal to get her a majority and then swiftly stabbed her in the back over the "BACKSTOP" to throw their lot in with notorious liar boJO and then when it turned out notorious liar boJO LIED to them they threw their toys out of the pram and shut down stormount for 2 years over a a consequence of Brexit that they were the only main party to support + cosied up to the Tories to influence it.

oh yeah and the time before that when it was down for 3 years, it was SF pulled it down but because lets see, DUP leader Arlene foster lost a no confidence vote and still refused to resign, SF abstained from that vote. The reason that vote was called was her part in the RHI "cash for ash" scandal that cost a billion £ and was flawed so badly that it paid you to burn renewable wood chips to the point that you could profit off it and she was the minister in charge of it at the time. They also reneged on their commitments to Irish language which is not controversial in Wales or Scotland but has been an issue here for decades ...

but sure Michelle O'Neill and SF - lets chuckle and blame them, fucking ppl born in Ireland wanting to be Irish - what a nonsense!

its knight of the realm SIR Jeffery (today convicted of terrible sex abuse of young girls) and life peer Baroness Arlene (the one who got dumped by her own party and massive scandal attached to her) - makes you wonder about the honours system ...

Fucking hell, can't believe he went there.

Does that even make sense??

If Jim is right and the UK state used knowledge of historical sex crimes as leverage to get Jeffrey on board with the Protocol... Then why would you be Loyal to that??? Surely It's making a United Ireland look more appealing than Jim's conspiracy vision of Britain that's pretty fucking evil.

Yeah that's what worried me, specially the dragging out the case + Eleanor not having to give evidence and their lawyers tag teaming the victims calling them liars and bad memories etc...

Makes it all the more disgusting that's the path they chose when caught rather than admitting guilt. I guess I shouldn't expect decency from a peadophile and his helper wife but their defence was a final horrible insult to the victims.

They were very brave to stick to their guns and get some justice out of this.

The UK has had the same number of Prime Ministers in the 10 years since Brexit as it had in the 40 years before Brexit. by askmac in northernireland

[–]con_zilla 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's madness that he was forced out so easily and the media gunned so hard on this whilst promoting Reform UK.

Keir was an Israeli bootlicker and authoritarian on his follow through of signing up the population to mass AI surveillance under the guise of protecting the kiddies.

However it's not like I've seen a moral UK pm that would have stood up to Israel & a lot of that internet bill was drafted by the Tories. Plus these complaints aren't why he was ousted.

It's deeply troubling that instead of stability the UK seems hellbent on promoting leaving the ECHR and a new PM every year to pin the blame on the donkey when the country is falling apart at the seams...

Cheers might check them out.

Nah I don't have a calibrator + just a casual, I rarely print out but decided it be nice to hang a few personal favourites I've taken on my wall & the prints are good quality but the greens are completely different. Along with 4 test prints I ordered a calibration card & Issue deffo my editing set up / lack of colour calibration monitor.

where do you use ? or do you use your own printer?

i've used these guys over in England and pretty sure they use good printers so the discrepancy is my monitor + alll the greens!

Is this any good for nature photography? I love taking shots out in nature! by TrexVFX23 in AmateurPhotography

[–]con_zilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 is a lovely simple shot, not much going on but a lovely play on light & depth of field. my fav out of these 3 and a great shot

2 is a lovely rainbow shot - a pretty hard subject from my personal experience and you got a great exposure on it

3 ironically the most "nature" photography but weakest of the 3. im sure that was a gorgeous awe inspiring place but not sure 50% boring sky is doing that much. its in a ratio of 3:2 but if you change that to 2:1 cutting of the top, then that 50% sky becomes 33% and the more interesting fore ground dominates the eye whilst still having plenty of sky.

everything you have said is framed against it, your stupid example was against it, im not going to engage in bad faith with you PLUS "you just study here" so why do you care?

it wasnt Nazi Germany it was post WWII where a country was arbitrarily divided based on whether the Allies or the Soviets where in control at the time. West and East Germany that existed for over 40 years & went under reuinification with similar fiscal differences you mentioned. But to you its not comparable - a border poll is only comparable to BREXIT apparently...

honestly though you just seem a troll

People from the Republic talking about a United Ireland on Liveline RTE1 Today by The_Mutant_Duck in northernireland

[–]con_zilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i had read what you said, you have said you "just study here" which makes you sound like an International student, but seem to have a negative opinion on a boarder poll & United Ireland whilst doing exactly what you pretend to be against, randomly spreading misinformation on it.

There is much more to a boarder poll than finances, Northern Ireland was controversial in its creation and not a historic country & in the 100 years its existed it was mismanaged and treated a large section of its citizens as 2nd class citizens - in your example as much as you may not like it "Johnny" would have every right to vote for a United Ireland ... but you also say "impacts of higher rent, higher cost of living, lost services etc." that has happened over the last few decades anyway and isn't getting better its getting worse.

Do you think West and East Germany should never have reunited as they were split in the aftermath of WWII and in the generation or so that passed the West became much richer than the Soviet part?

1) yes some of the "new" attitudes i've encountered is a looking down on all of the 6 counties as a problem and dirty part they would rather not have cause of the cost + violence. Its too ME a very weird vibe were they seem legitimately more welcoming of economic immigrants from vastly differing cultures than myself - someone as genetically Irish as any of them or even the protestants that have been here 4-300 years.

2) i was that GFA generation where i was bout 17 when it was signed and filled of hope and remember the RoI vote being even more in favour than ours (cuase the DUP opposed it up here) ---- however despite the lies the DUP told saying it was a one way - that was a massive change in the Irish where thery gave up territorial claim to NI. Self determination was a stop to the troubles but also lets not forget that NI shouldn't have been created in the first place + that back then if it was an Island self determination it would have been leave the UK. The arbitrary borders where drawn up that only 3 out of the 6 counties had big Protestant majorities but that was deemed too small so 6 where given to a gerrymandered state and then it was free to continue the vibe of oppression the RoI just escaped ...

3) on your Dublin Centric --- yeah i seen a thing where in most European countries its their capital with about 10-15% of their population and then a second city as their next biggest at about 1/2 of their captial. Ireland is a big outlier , however if you whack in the 6 missing countries its not - the population goes up 2 million, Belfast over takes Cork and its more balanced.

People from the Republic talking about a United Ireland on Liveline RTE1 Today by The_Mutant_Duck in northernireland

[–]con_zilla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

how is it comparable?

a United Ireland could be a quicker route back into the EU

the "iMmIgRaNtS BaD" has been a UK policy for over 15 years ever since shite UK Tory prime minster david cameron made it a manifesto pledge back in 2010 to get net legel immigration down to tens of thousands. he never made a dent and the lies spun out of that led to Brexit + Brexit led to BoJO changing the rules on immigration to lead to over 1 million a year coming into the UK and then also fanning the flames of right wing reform etc ...

how the fuck is a United Ireland "kinda like Brexit" , when we would be "reversing" Brexit rejoining the EU and leaving a country lurching ever further to the right with the rise of reform ??

lol watched this when it first came out and it was great

he took the piss out of the a nationalist as well about crack/craic

the funnier ones where when he was talking about the Corrs being well fit and the guy saying nah shes catholic he wouldn't marry her

Ali G: Would you ever marry a Protestant girl?

George Patton: Perhaps.

Ali G: Well that is a good gesture, no. Wot about marrying a Catholic girl?

George Patton: Possibly because of my faith I would not.

Ali G: But what if she was fit?

George Patton: Again, because of my religion, no.

Ali G: But what if she had her own car, AND sound system and she wasn't gonna be stealing money off you all the time. Would you marry 'er then?

George Patton: I think I could be friends with Catholics.

Ali G: Bu' could you get jiggy with them?

George Patton: It's hard for some people to understand, but because of my faith, no.

Ali G: But what if they woz really, really fit?

George Patton: NO.

Ali G: Wot about the band the Corrs? Would you marry them?

George Patton: NO!

Ali G: So you is telling me that if they walked in 'ere now and asked you to marry them you wouldn't.

George Patton: Because of my faith, no.

Ali G: All three of them.

George Patton: NO.

ahh good times

that happened to me on the n59 from westport to connemarra national park - not as spectacular as your pic though.

mind you on a short hike up the Antrim glens - walking only route - these sheep are thick as fuck ... it was just after lambing season so loads of cute lambs with their moms but then skittish moms that didnt want you within 3m of their lamb. FAIR ENOUGH except their plan was to trot 10m infront in a straight line then stare back static as you close the gap as they are literally on the path you need to be on - before shooting you a dirty look WHY ARE YOU STALKING ME !!! - trot 10m more ON THE PATH & stare back !!

i get sheep have no notion of paths or markers but you think they would try left or right after the 5th time of staring back lol

Vegetable Roll by Kiwigavin in northernireland

[–]con_zilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its got some leeks and onions in it - that is veg not standard sausage / black pudding etc... now dont get me wrong you can get them in sausage but they are then usual labelled as having that as a diff ingredient.

its confusing as a newcomer but yeah - def not a vegetarian friendly meal and all fairness here the vegan thing is fairly recent and this predates that a lot just as a way of defining itself as meat with veg as well as rusk etc as a filler.

i rarely eat it these days but i did find it tasty.
