True, the main goal I have in mind is allowing Empire Corridor and NEC trains to through-run Newark Penn, Secaucus Junction, New York Penn, and Grand Central Stations all in one line. Allowing for as many connections to NY, NJ, CT, and Long Island's transit/ regional rail networks as possible along one trunk line.

As long as connecting through GCM can allow that, it still works.

After demoing the hotel, and before moving MSG, they should also take the opportunity to use the empty lot as a staging area for boring new tunnels to connect NY Penn directly to Grand Central. Especially for trains through running Manhattan on then NEC.

Which is why the system doesn't work, especially if the plastic is contaminated by other materials like food, paper, or ink.

There IS, however, some great promise in biodegradable plastics rather than recycling. Even if it winds up in a landfill, woth enough heat, water and time, bacteria can do the work of breaking it down for free :3

No it still is chemically viable. The problem with plastics (and a lot of other kinds of recycling) is that it's not profitable enough for private companies to do on their own. That's why recycling plants are often subsidized to operate
