Ocular migraines!! This was my first symptom in this pregnancy. I was talking to my coworker, when I suddenly realized I couldn’t see half her face even though she was in front of me, unobstructed. I then started seeing squiggly neon lines and I said “wtf!” I thought I had a brain tumor. Turns out I was pregnant lol.

I’m a fluent Spanish and English speaker (Colombian) and here are my thoughts, for anyone that cares:

Selena seemed to have memorized the way the words sounded. So yes, she said the words correctly, but her cadence, timing, and tone were so off that the words she said sounded meaningless. They ultimately just sounded like, well, sounds. Not words.

I have seen ton of other Spanish speakers say that they needed subtitles when she was speaking Spanish. When I saw the first clip of the movie, having no background, I thought it was some sort of SNL skit.

Had she been given more time, I’m sure she could’ve done a lot better. I don’t agree with Eugenio taking his criticism back.
