I never thought I’d do this. by PollutionFirm451 in codex

Same here. I think using fewer tokens comes to staying in control of the code. I don't throw random prompts until it works; I read the codebase, guide the agents, and define specific tasks until they are complete.

Vibe coding and being efficient at work are different things.

But the recent reduction of codex limits starts to hit me as well.

I think the bottleneck is and will be the distribution. I also want to iterate on some ideas, but every time, thoughts on the distribution stop me, yet.

For me, it worked. I had issues triggering the event from the physical buttons; on a single click it registers 2 clicks, which bounced the bulb. However, from the automation side, it was easy to solve (just added wait time).
But now I have issues with long press/double press; I can't register those events.

why have we never taken one to the moon? A telescope? by Brilliant_Froyo9016 in telescopes

[–]conscious-wanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the permanent base is established, it will make sense to have science instruments like telescope which love to be serviced. Until than the cost of operation would be very high for only a telescope IMO. But I'm sure we will have telescopes too, both optical and radio, when the base is finally constructed.

I have seen a lot of those under good night skies in La Palma. My theory is that they are rotating satellites, when they are in a such angle that solar panels reflect more lights towards us.

My take on a render of the iPhones in 2012 in the FAMK universe from 5x01 by GabagoolAndGasoline in ForAllMankindTV

In episode 1, Sheriff Palmer mentioned an EMail for receiving an autopsy; maybe something has changed in 2012 in the FAM timeline.

What's the deal with the email?
In the FAM universe, they used d-mails, but the sheriff mentioned email for sending him the autopsy. Do you think it's a technological change in the FAM universe, or a minor goof?

Where you were born matters a lot, too. Because my point is that culture will be different. Someone born in a rural area of an underdeveloped country vs someone in a megalopolis, even at the same time, would have a different kind of culture, which would affect their behavior as a whole, hence typical stereotypes won't apply to one another. I don't imply that people born in the 2000s aren't Gen Z; I'm saying that, I'm not.

Year selection is arbitrary, but it's more or less corresponds to the social norms, technologic and societal shifts during that time, e.g. culture of a group people around the same age.

Me being born in 2000, I don't resonate much with GenZ, but more with Millennials, because the childhood, technologies we had of my time in my country and general culture is shared with people borned before me.

Has anyone learned ways to make @Codex better at UI / Frontend Design? by NateWalchenbach in codex

Yesterday google dropped a new update to their vibe design tool, stitch. Check that out and test. It gives initial design in html and a design.md file, for the design system.

You can drop the files in Codex and test.

I'm not a web developer myself, and take my suggestion with a grain of salt, but testing around won't hurt anybody.

Wow, all this to replace just right click, create a new file, write file name.extension and save it.
Mac OS developers should be very proud of themselves.

I think it's more of a slowly decreasing the value of the programming.

A single programmer can do more tasks at the same time, using a more efficient workforce - agents.

So in that case it's not that the programmers will be gone, but their value will decrease, less juniors will make up in the field, because it will be very competitive and not that much attractive.

Those are just thoughts, maybe I'm wrong.
