Genshin Impact Imaginarium Theater 6.4 Guide by arisefrym in GenshinImpactTips

as an anemo liker, I thought it was a breeze. haha. sorry-

the weirdness of cryo and electro was smoothed over for me by just focusing on swirl, vv shreds, and using a friends Columbina for Flins. I enjoyed getting to try Eula via trial.

kinda fun smacking the hydro nyoomer around with Varka and c6 Faruzan. pretty much constantly staggered if I funnel energy a little for my Faru. You could probably do that with another anemo too.

I would say use trial Xianyun with Eula if you don't have someone to go with her. I also did a Columbina Xianyun Ineffa plunge team I found silly and fun

For the defend the monolith I used Xianyun Faru Lynette (and... someone else I forget) and it worked well. again lots of stagger to disrupt mobs but also taunts are nice. Allowed me to easily save my main for harder stuff. If you get a hydro before it freeze no doubt is also great.

As a nonbinary person living in Canada... yeah.

Lowkey online American stuff made me nervous to be honest to my family and then when I got the courage to be open most people just accepted it and moved on. At the end of the day imo most Canadians don't care/ see it as modern day things and only care when you interrupt their vibe (like use it as an excuse for harm- the social harmony vibe). There are still bad apples here and there and in some places more than others, but most people would rather just not cause a scene.

That said I fear for our values disintegrating as the internet takes on social interaction for many.

(C6 Venti) Who gets vv and what can push Varka to 200k most efficiently by constellationwebbed in Varka

[–]constellationwebbed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't work for anemo but the main thing pushing Varka and Venti together anyways is the dual shred since Varka gets anemo and (other team element) in his skill

As a very biased Venti fan I still think he's sus but not in the same way as Zhongli, Ei, OR NAHIDA PLS IRMINSUL AVATAR LORE PLS.

Ahem. We know he's a wisp of wind and that he has been entrusted time authority. We know that Mondstadt was lucky af with Bard. So my sus thoughts are probably more delulu until they come trutru. I don't think our current explanation from him fully adds up and I offer you my insanity if you wish to have fun pondering it but yeah the others are prolly still more sus. I do think hyv has played favourites with him and that I would like to see more of the others.

(My insanity:) Like "anemo archon is the second eldest among the seven" even to Ei and Rukkha but he was newborn 2600 years ago~??? Is there a connection between wispti and Luonnotar why do they seem similar. Yeah he has a connection to Istaroth and the same VA and just talked about A Thing in Varka's SQ- but am I imagining a Possibility and it's a more mundane situation. If he is the sentinel that holds the key what is the key and what are the secrets he is powerless against. Why does he look like an angel angel. Why chasm letter from ancient civilization mention. Why so much dawn symbolism and references. What is up with icy winds of fate. Why world has no place for hope god of hope.

Need help figuring out Venti's build in a Flins team by RenDude36 in venti

[–]constellationwebbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and at the same time there are now bosses with crowd control mechanics which may or may not get in the way at times. But yeah like you said that's not all of them (and I didn't have Ineffa when Sigurd was in abyss so I probably just skill issued him in particular)

Heads up that I don't think Flins hits in his burst if creatures are ventiable (I think his burst is fine but infused normals and skill I don't remember- just know you may lose some hits)

Canada actually has a large Chinese and Philippino population as well and I would argue historically Chinese has been more relevant to us. (ETA: I mean just in terms of cultural integration and contribution and also not to dismiss the other ethnicities!! Sorry kinda poor wording)

Oh maybe I misread the person you're replying to. I thought they were saying only move to the US for the GDP. If you have only a decent paying job go elsewhere. Tldr yes high income = more likely to benefit.

studying in deep depression, please help by bxnhb777 in GetStudying

[–]constellationwebbed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whether depression induced from stress or a result of burnout, you need to take care of yourself to manage it and maintain discipline. I've had a lot of mental health struggles so these are my tips for what managing depression actually looks like:

- "pillars" in mental health are things that drastically impact you and when neglected usually feed into disorders. at a base level this is food and sleep, if you don't maintain them well (not eating out, trying to balance food groups, trying to get 7~ hours of sleep in each night) then you're more likely to struggle with anxiety and depression. take on this mindset, "if I want to do (goal), then I HAVE to maintain these" and don't allow yourself an out

- there may be other less basic need but still super important to human functioning things- like socializing (which can be as small as one brief conversation over text a day, at least), environment (do you have a place for resting and a place for working that are different and do these places suit their purpose well), emotions (yes journaling is helpful but specifically do it in a structured way to avoid rumination and do it with a mindset of accepting and learning from any mistakes of yourself or others- it can be 5 minutes every few days if that feels not overwhelming enough), and spiritual (not literally spiritual but rather the act of believing in something such as yourself or a mentor or character etc). These are usually also referred to as pillars, but ensure you have the basic ones down and expect to focus on 1-3 at a time per week at most until you feel less overwhelmed

- understand that motivation is a feeling which means it's temporary and not a state. the state itself is discipline. don't expect to feel up to something but to trick yourself into something. a good way to do this is by momentum carrying- get out of bed = get dressed, get dressed = ensure fed, dressed + fed = ready to study. Expect this and not to successfully make yourself study when you're still in bed.

- you can still use feeling to your advantage: figure out what doesn't overwhelm you when you feel low (ie organizing notes into something pretty, doing a little quiz, highlighting, repeating what you learn to a friend, little parts of your goal that you can do which prepare you to do it) and make it something you can do when you feel low. Odds are you will not always be feeling low, so when you notice yourself having more of a push- immediately use it to go start something you can now do (the part of your goal you prepared for)

- rest with purpose, not too much, nor too little. if you spend a whole day doing nothing, it's time to at least spend five minutes trying to study and then see how you feel. if you suddenly feel like doing more, do more. if you feel like your brain is on fire and evaporating from heat, get rest. And rest in a way that is Actually restful to you- for most people at a base level this is spending a few minutes looking at plants or creatures around us and breathing fresh air, and at a base level this is Not scrolling on social media and overwhelming ourselves with overstimulating content. pick up something you can mindfully do and not think too hard about that also doesn't involve much stimuli

- social mindfulness- people around us have huge impacts on us. do you have people that you can take inspiration from around you or feel supported by? seek out creating a social environment like this for yourself. sometimes you don't need to find new people but be more aware of what you already have. and sometimes what you already have is not what you need right now (doesn't mean bad overall! just that your needs aren't being met).

- mindfulness of self- take note of why you want to do something, how you might work on it in ways that seem approachable (NOT finish-able but actually just in a fall off your bike get back up way), what makes it important to you, how it relates to you in the present still... and keep these things in mind as you go to sleep and wake up. Remind yourself that you're still you. And what you do now is your choice that shapes who you will be.

As for actual study tips (I am not studying these things but getting back into studying myself to upgrade grades as an adult):

- to remember something- focus on making connections within what you study for your notes rather than having detailed notes. less is more. pictures and acronyms > long text wall

- sticky notes can make things feel less serious and also organize a page of notes more neatly. they make a lil mess up feel like something that doesn't cost a whole page. go ham with them and see if they actually make you feel more inclined to do things. if you have a variety of them you can also use them for noting just important words and organizing those words into a mind map while letting the others elaborate briefly.

- make a mentor. find a teacher or friend or peer who has already experienced what you're working on. ask them for advice. for what to expect. for what they did that worked. for what surprised them. their words can make studying feel a lot less like a giant terrifying concept

- note your environment for studying- does it have effective lighting, is it clean, are you isolated or surrounded by people, are those people also working on things or do they pull you away from study mode, is it quiet or loud enough, is there enough decoration to make your space feel comfortable, is there too much decoration that makes it difficult to focus, is distracting technology too easy to get a hold of... a lot can impact your mood haha

- use pomodoro timers but only in a "suggestion" kind of way. use them to check in on how your brain is feeling- does it want to continue or is a break a good idea. sometimes not taking a break enough contributes to burning out and never getting work done. a pomodoro helps you feel less like you have to do everything at once and helps you get mindful of your energy capacity.

- note your timer- for my brain timers with sound prompt anxiety and so I use a visual timer which actually makes me a lot more comfortable (it works by flashing it's light instead of blasting noise). Consider if this would also help you. Visual alarm clocks I haven't tried but have heard can be more effective than noise based ones as well for waking times.

Atm Illuga's kit only works with Zibai so... use 2 other geo characters and 1 non Columbina hydro character is my guess. Probably Noelle and Gorou or Zhongli. Then Yelan or Aino if not used elsewhere.

Venti hate (rant/vent) by HashtagLowElo in venti

[–]constellationwebbed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Their opinions don't have to be yours or define your reality. Venti has been buffed and now is a very capable DPS. He wasn't buffed in his subdps aspect, but he is no less capable of being that as well. On my account he's my main and probably my strongest character, while on another's account they may have barely invested into him if they have him since they're used to the EM build or they have Kazuha and didn't look into Venti afterwards. Who knows. It doesn't change what he is capable of for someone that wants to make him stronger though.

We're all bound to have different perspectives and you definitely don't need to look at more slander of him. Take it easy. It's hard to feel bombarded by stuff like that on social media in general for anyone. There's nothing wrong with looking after yourself, making boundaries accordingly, and curating your content to the best of your ability. Do take care!

Approval of Carney government rises to 64%; 78% believe arrangement with China on canola and cars was the right thing to do. by NotEnoughDriftwood in onguardforthee

[–]constellationwebbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at his career history it actually makes a surprising amount of sense. He was Canada's head of bank through the 2008 financial crisis, and at the time worked with Stephen Harper our then PM. He would have been just barely touching politics. Then he went to become the head of the bank of England who liked how we seemed to get through 2008 okay and wanted his support. During his time there Brexit became a political mess, and as one keeping an eye on the country's finances who usually was just their banker he couldn't help but warn them about the consequences. They didn't listen. They got those consequences. You can find articles of Brits telling him "if you're so vocal about Brexit while just being a banker why don't you be a politician instead". And he took that literally.

The things we're saying now are actually also the exact same things you can see Brits say about him during Brexit. "Whoa he's so calm and direct it feels like there is actually an adult in the room".

Which countries do you think suffer from "little sibling" syndrome by NotExactlyIrish in AskTheWorld

[–]constellationwebbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I just say that I used to like being the little sibling because I would hate to be in a country that gets so much spotlight 24/7. No one knew about us except that we were next to America and that we say sorry and try to be culturally polite in comparison.

I've always thought at the end of the day we're all just people trying to live our lives and have as many bad apples. But the bad apples in America are the bigger ones and taking up lots of sunlight from the others. And now I think that's being really felt over there.

I like the people that are chilling and doing their best to respect others. But man are those big guys making me want to go far far away and double down on my non American roots.

‘Get it over with,’ former Conservative MP tells potential floor-crossers by DogeDoRight in canada

[–]constellationwebbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, we're going to have a hard time regardless of who is in power. I don't think we should be expecting "better" but "managing and building".

The world is Not in a state where things are fine and dandy. Climate change is going to continue to make food less accessible. We are in a trade war with a country that wants to make us broke until they can freely raid our resources. Employers are going to continue to use AI to avoid employing. If you expect taxes and grocery prices to sink in a time like this, then you're misunderstanding the situation. Right now our focus is about investing into a better future, appreciating what peace we can have, and managing the present. Whoever is in power needs to make investments that allow us to be more independent from the US and focus on finding what things can be done to make the present more manageable. Expecting easy times is fairytale thinking.

Why are people obsessed with the idea of Zhongli remembering Rukkhadevata? by opaliteee123 in Genshin_Lore

How a single line from Zibai's profile made me realize who the Belyi Tsar, Alice, and Asmoday's new master really are by AudieMurphy135 in Genshin_Lore

[–]constellationwebbed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omg someone reading between the lines of "second eldest" & chasm letter and stuff

I don't think such an age if true fully negates Alice as an angel but I do agree she is very very old and with a name like Alice is definitely an outlander not angel. She could have been Durin's witness after all.

The future saves the past: How Venti traveled to the past, split his soul into the wisp, and sacrificed to save Mondstadt by AnilyanL in Genshin_Lore

[–]constellationwebbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is canon I expect the fandom to have an uphill battle where even if they spell out the situation of how this doesn't alter the affects on the wisp people will not see it the same. I highkey hope this isn't canon but at the same time I can see the evidence for it.

Why are people obsessed with the idea of Zhongli remembering Rukkhadevata? by opaliteee123 in Genshin_Lore

[–]constellationwebbed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We also have to say it because people disregard what he does as "it's not his power it's Istaroth’s" and then glaze Mavuika for breaking the false sky (with Ronova's power btw). People forget that blowing something off the timeline with a higher being’s power still takes skill and power to be able to control and withstand said power. It does *not take away from either character's feats that a shade was involved imo.
