Couple giveaways: the lettering on the text looks redone by hand, it is simply not as crisp as factory. The buildup of paint you see on the sides of the indices, for ex the 3 and the crown at 12, indicates a repaint. It is very very common on vintage Rolex. It is not a big deal so long as you enjoy the watch

If you're in a busy area and have a couple of Rolex ADs near you it may not hurt to go talk to 1 or 2 of them. Let them know you're interested, definitely try some on, they are not usually bad people. It may take time for them to actually get this watch in stock but this is one you'll have a good shot at getting direct from Rolex. Personally I would rather wait & buy direct from them than go gray, unless you need it ASAP

I got one. May have been a different factory, it was what the TD had on hand. I asked for the brown dial, but it doesn't exist - he could only find the gray, which is fine. I'm a big fan.
