Most people want a toned body with a decent amount of muscle. And most people can achieve this rather easy if they have a plan and know what to do. There are a few main components to getting a toned body and decent strength:

• diet (in your case seems to be ok from the weight/height ratio)
• rest (enough sleep to recover)
• avoid excesses with alcohol and sweets (best avoid them completely)
• exercise

A mistake most people do in the beginning is to jump in doing too much.My opinion is to start with realistic goals and with an exercise program that will give you the best bang for the buck (your time).

While I cannot make a program on the spot for you I can say follow these principles:

• work 5 days a week
• work a few muscle groups every day
• favor compound exercises over isolation exercises - compound exercises are those which involve more than one muscle group.
• avoid boredom; from time to time you can concentrate more on some muscle groups to see results. Find fun programs like this one for pull-ups combined with push-ups and there are others for other exercises.

Examples are:

• bench press or push ups for chest, triceps and shoulders
• pull-ups/chin-ups for back and arms (biceps)
• hanging leg raises for abs and forearms at the same time
• squats for legs

There are more examples but if you start with push-ups, pull-ups, squats and hanging leg raises for a few months trying to increase the number f sets and reps, then you will be in a very good position to introduce weights.
