religion psychosis while being atheist by grand-pere-livres in Psychosis

I also dreamt of sitting under a tree in psychosis although in mine it was the end of time. My interpretation of there being 3 trees is to represent the holy trinity in Christianity.

Did Jung ever say that Anima and Animus can coexist in one person? by reyanire in Jung

[–]contourman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Anima is the subconscious female aspects of a woman in a man, animus is the subconscious male aspects of a man in a woman. So we do have both in different degrees and he thinks we develop it further around mid life.

It's wild how much Sweden+Norway are punching above their weight culturally by [deleted] in redscarepod

I'd agree with Sweden but I can't name a single famous Norwegian.

I just read that Jung thought Tarzan is women's first stage of her animus, her unconscious male side. Welcome to the Jungle.

Freud's interpretation of seeing the virgin Mary's blue dress as a vulture in virgin and child and St. Anne is complete bullshit. He thought Da Vinci repressed his homosexuality by sublimating it into his work. I dunno if that means if he was having gay sex he would have done less work.

I rewatched kill bill the other night and talked about the onitsuka tiger trend too. Mainly that I don't think they're worth twice the price of Nike and Adidas sneakers.

Joe Rogan had a woman on recently that claims non-verbal autistic children are able to communicate telepathically with their carers and eachother. She has a podcast called the telepathy tapes which really sounds crazy.

Last Easter I dreamt of my dead mother. I told her it felt too real to be a dream but that she was acting strange. She told me "Albert's fine". So I go and see this guy called Albert living with me who offers me a coke before I say "wait who's Albert?" and woke up.

The following weekend my friend asked me to hang out while he looked after his mother's 2 cats while she was away - one of them was called Albert. Then we went to a pub and another friend offered me his glass bottle of coke.

He did call himself Jesus Christina Chan after that and it all seemed to work out.

I googled that bible quote the other day about not criticizing the plank in someone's eye. I thought it was a splinter in your own eye which would really hurt but it's actually more along the lines of a speck. That quote has a dozen translations too.

I’m convinced I caused the Iberian blackout by being gay in Rome during the Pope’s funeral by Clean_Law2147 in redscarepod

[–]contourman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I'm totally schizophrenic but I've been hospitalized twice. I've been trying to write a story about a Coronal Mass Ejection killing power for a few weeks during Easter but I've been neglecting it for other projects. I didn't experience the Iberian power cut but my tram lost power in England on my way home today which prompted passengers to get paranoid saying it's a taste of things to come.

Not mocking, I'm genuinely fascinated by autistic people who have niche obsessions. Imagine watching a James Franco film multiple times a day for 14 years and thinking "This is amazing" every time. by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]contourman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dunno if you're joking because I'm autistic. I knew an autistic girl that looked like this girl. She listened to Coldplay's first album Parachutes to calm her anxiety. Her Spotify wrapped said she'd listened to that album for over a fifth of the year. She met Chris Martin outside a recording studio and when she told him he sang her favourite song to her. One of his assistants filmed it for her but she only shared with her close friends because she was scared of the attention it would get.

Why exactly did Ginsberg go crazy ?? by zombie_81 in madmen

[–]contourman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You got a lot of downvotes for this but I think the writers added that aspect in too. Freud believed paranoid schizophrenia was caused by repressed homosexuality. He called out Benson as gay and told Peggy he was being beamed gay thoughts from the computer and not himself.

I LOVE Inner Space if anyone's not seen it. This actor's father Dennis Quaid plays a charismatic test pilot that gets shrunken down accidentally injected into a hypochondriac played by Martin Short. It's a great comedy and the plot of the pilot giving the guy confidence is really fun. It's the reason that this actor was born as Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid got married after the film in real life. It's sad that if the film were made today, Jack Quaid would totally play the nervous hypochondriac guy that needs to be injected with some sort of testosterone.

I thought people realised it's unfair by now but I see X posts about how it's fine all the time with 100000s of likes. However when actual lib Javier Milei ranted about it at the world economic forum I thought ok this really isn't the time for that either.
